Cruelty to an animal is a big problem.
Introducing an invasive species into our environment is also a big problem.
This jerk should face serious consequences for both offenses.

Isn't the solution for invasive species to kill as many as possible?

If I saw it and cut his head off with a shovel, would I get in trouble?

Cruelty to animals does not apply to snakes.

That's not a pet. It's an invasive species. The only thing he did wrong was leaving it's head on.

That owner should be jailed. There's so many options to relieve yourself of the responsibility, and humanely if necessary to put the animal down.

Animal torturers are some sick, sadistic assholes that belong in jail.

how do you just take a creature you've been caring for and just toss it in a dumpster to starve?

what an a-hole, i dont care if it is an invasive species; you don't treat it that way.

People are fricking idiots. I think a lot of people, especially younger adults like the idea of having pets, but then once they learn what's involved in being a pet owner, they do stupid shite.

Personally, I don't think of pythons as pets. I just don't get it. You put it in an aquarium and every once in awhile give it some mice or whatever else they eat.. I guess you can pick it up and put it over your shoulders for a little while, but there are other animals that make better pets. Dogs for example, can serve a purpose. Be a tool of sorts. My two dogs are my eyes and eyes at home. If someone is coming to my house, I know about it as soon as they pull up where I can look to see who it is.

One of the dogs is always looking out the window so she sees them right away, if she isn't around, they will hear the door shut. Dogs have personalities. They run around, wrestle around with each other, likes to fetch, one snores at night. I can tell if bad weather is coming by the way one of them acts.. A snake.. they don't do shite.

If you don’t want to deal with your pet snake just kill it. Don’t introduce it into the wild and make it everyone else’s problem.

Or... Hear me out.

It says the snake if very docile. Dont feed snake for a couple of weeks then put former owner in room with said snake. Wrap former owners hands with duct tape.

Let nature do what nature does.

I'm no fan of snakes or pythons in general, but he abused it and dumped it. It's animal cruelty and he needs serious jail time.
