Some quick research actually shows that the COVID Vaccine might be responsible for the ramp up of Achilles injuries.

I know he's rich as frick but damn it would suck to have all that medical help available 24/7 for years and then take your Achilles when ya gotta figure it out on your own

If you play 1 day in MLB you get medical insurance for life. The more you play, the better it is. He’s not paying for shite still

If you get called up, never see the field. Then get sent back down and never make it back, you qualify for some retirement benefits and insurance. My best friend was a top ten prospect in the early 90's and I think then that one game in the bigs would get you like $19k a year at whatever their retirement age was and I think like a 3% yearly COLA.

Wait, did some moron imply that Rivera was juicing?! The level of stupidity on this board can still amaze.

Wrong. You have to get four years in for this to happen. Uou become eligible after one day.

I thought MLB pension is based on service time. Service time being on the active roster. Currently MLB pension is $27.5k per year of service time (max 10 years). However players are eligible for pension after just 43 days. Pension benefits are awarded for per quarter of service time (MLB season is 172 days so 43=quarter of a season). Full $27.5k amount is based on beginning to receive your pension at age 62 (take it early, get less). Just 43 days will get you $6,875
