There really isn't much to look forward to this season. We are in serious trouble and the consensus is we are going to be the bottom of the league. I don't have confidence this will change anytime soon with Loomis calling the shots.
I don't see us winning more than 3 games this year.
What is your prediction?

Lmao. The consensus is wrong more often than right.
Think about this for 1 minute.
We had the worst HC
We had so many injuries last year that the best college team probably could have been competitive against us and we won 5 games.
I'm not saying we will win 5 this year but there's alot to like compared to last year. We will be competitive. If we stay healthy we should win 5+ games easily.

I’d rather watch this team knowing we are building something and win 3 games vs DA/Carr team that was going nowhere win 5 games.

You were excited for last year with Dennis Allen at the helm? Last year was by FAR the most least interested ive ever been going into a season. I'd even turn off sports radio when they started talking about the saints i didnt even want to hear practice reports

I predict you'll still be watching

The season starts soon ?

What would have excited anyone about last year's start?
Not to mention those of us who have been Saints fans since all they did was lose season after season.

Can you explain in detail why you were excited for Dennis Allen as HC for 3 years and Pete Carmichael as OC for 2 years even after he had to be talked into OC the first year?????????
New & young HC Kellen Moore
New & young QBs on cheap rookie contracts.
Not expected to really be in playoff contention this year, but we are finally in a spot to see some young talent begin to develop and take into 26 where for the first time in years we'll be in a good salary cap spot.
2025 is the start of the rebuild / youth movement we've been clamoring for since Drew retired

I am excited because of the coaching staff. Saints hired a Super Bowl winning coordinator. He is brightest coach in our division.

Majority of this board liked the Allen hire and thought he deserved the head coaching job.
Some revisionist history right here

I’m actually way more excited than the past few years. We’re going to suck but at least we’re trying to move forward.

This.
You should be excited to see what a new coach and defensive coach bring to the table. Be excited that we are rebuilding. Be excited to see young players develop through the season. We won’t win a ton of games, but you should be plenty excited.

I don't understand this thinking. This offseason is the first time on at least 5 years that you know things are not going to be wash, rinse and repeat.
Trot out the same coaches, players and scheme and hope for better results.
The though of finally seeing some change of the way things are run is reason enough to be excited.
Finally the Saints are rebuilding, regardless of how long it took or why we got to this point, what we all knew needed to happen is finally happening and it should bring hope and optimism to any real fan of the team.
If you're just a fan of wins then probably best to stay away for a year or two until the hard work is done .

That was in 2021. We then went 2 years missing the playoffs in the easiest division in recent history in 22 and 23 and it was pretty evident we had a career loser who we were going nowhere with and 99% of this board then wanted him gone in 24 and he proved us right

Not to be a wiseass, but given all the variables of a season, I could see more than 3 wins if Moore is legit.
Not a prediction, btw…

Yet another person that does not understand how to approach this season.
I am excited to see a new coach, completely new offensive and defensive systems, and young QBs trying to figure it out.
We are closer to being cap healthy than we have been in many years.
Don't think about wins and losses.
