Cam Jordan still starting does also not bode well. Love him, but he is washed.

Kinda surprised it’s Cam Akers, CEH, Jones and then Neal.

I like that Bub Means isn’t buried on the depth chart.

Stu’s man behind Jackson is also surprising.

Looks like Chase Young still isn’t very good.

Its possible this was a tactic to light a fire under some of these younger guys. Also Chase Young is in bold like the starters and they put (4) D lineman when we will probably have 5. Cam isn't starting over Chase Young lol.

Its more about our depth being arse behind Grandson/ Young/ Cam than anything else.

I mean they have Neal dead last and Stutsman almost last at their positions as well.

I would say it's more about Cams last year and they were more than pleased to put his name first on the first depth chart of camp.

Both rookies. They aren't over taking Werner / DD and Alvin/Miller

Cam is a lock to "start". Well probably get only like half of the snaps though.

I never said Cam wasn't going to start. Just that he will not start over Young for any reason. The depth is deceptive because there's only 4 lineman and it looks like Young is rotating when in reality Cam would be the one rotating from the bench if it was only 4. But we are probably going to have 5. Even Cam has said in the past that he's behind Bresee. So Cam starts with 5 or is backup to Bresee with 4.

That roster is tough to look at. Old Brandin Cooks is going to get a ton of snaps..

Akers was a number 2 running back on two teams the past few years.

Cam deserves to be the "starter" to run out of the tunnel last at home games and get the crowd fired up. He also should play very sparingly, and he is on board with that from everything I've seen.

Lol

Based on this, it looks like the Saints might have missed on a lot of draft picks this year and last year.

Hopefully this depth chart is not accurate.

Who is this "Or" guy? He plays QB and Edge rusher? Wow, why haven't we heard anything about him?

Seriously, the one position that anyone cares about a depth chart gets the Or treatment. These are usually useless this time of year. Doubly so here.

Seeing the same overreactions as every year when the first UNOFFICIAL depth chart comes out. These are produced by the media team and are used more to grab fans attention and get them excited rather than be 100% accurate.

They tend to put the 1st round pick and marquee FAs in higher spots, but by and large the vets and incumbents hold most of the top spots (names that have been around the team/league a long time, especially if they have been starters in the past).

Coach's actual chart probably looks a good bit different.

*unofficial*

No need to get worked up over a depth chart that unofficially came out for the first preseason game.

Unless some of you were expecting to win the Superbowl this Sunday, then, yea you should panic.
