24/7. Always white unmarked Tahoes sitting on the middle wall westbound right before the O'Neal exit . Usually 2-3 at a time. Never see them doing anything but sit there every single day, all day. And traffic is usually like 35 mph through there. Never pull anyone over. What is this? Just skating on the clock?

It’s what I do for a living
What do you drive, I’ll be on the lookout

That’s not traffic enforcement. They’re waiting on their drug bust target.

My tint will almost be legal tomorrow.
Mrs Cars has connections so I'll finally get a sticker.

Monitoring the plate readers and looking for bad guys.
I-12 is a major drug smuggling corridor so I'm sure they're part of a few ongoing investigations.
Funny though, I see them everyday, a couple times per day in the mornings and they just seem to be sitting there doing nothing. Has anyone ever seen them apprehending anyone?

did you not see the Nola PD thread about the officers who make all that money?
It's how they go from 80k a year to 250+

One more reason I love living in Georgia.
Illegal for unmarked cars to run traffic enforcement.

They had someone stopped near Millerville when I passed by on Tuesday. I've seen them a few times with people stopped in that area.

I pass them every day on my commute. They aren’t looking for speeders. Check out the devices on the front of their grills. They have plate readers pointing with the flow of traffic. They are just waiting for a hit on a suspected vehicle then they pull them over. Could be looking for drugs, outstanding warrants, anything but speeding
