Joseph Addai (SB Champ with Colts)
Skyler Green (All-American Returner)
Trindon Holliday (So small, So fast)
Jack Hunt (Key part of 03’ Natty Team)
Demetrius Byrd (07’ Auburn Game)
Ciron Black (53 Career Starts)

Embrace debate with mine and add your own. Can’t wait for the season to get here.

Peter Dyakowski (his mullet while at LSU achieved near-legendary status)

Mettenberger. He should have started in 2011 and in 2012 very nearly had us a championship.

Heck you could argue that 2013 with a different DC…

Ali Highsmith
Jacob Phillips
Rashard Lawrence
Early Doucet
Buster Davis
Richard Dixon
Ally Broussard
Jeremy Hill
DJ Chark
Arden Key
Davon Godschaux

These are all guys that were REALLY good imo that no one really talks about that much.

Two guys that come to mind at a position you didn't mention. Ali Highsmith and Kevin Minter. Both had incredible final seasons at LSU and were all-Americans, but didn't have standout careers.

I don’t understand the concept of this thread. A lot of the names I’ve seen mentioned are legends in my mind - I guess if you’re naming them, you don’t think so?

That playoff run he had as a senior in HS was something else.

A legend is someone that transcends their time. My 8 year old son and his friends know the Honeybadger and Fournette. None of them have aclue who Early Doucet or Jeremy Hill are.

Maybe 8 year olds is a bad barometer but I would also think to be a legend, casuals and fans of other teams woluld know the players if they are brought up. I am sure that other schools have some VERY good players that I don't remeber at all.

So true. He only got on the field if the Honey Badger wasn't.

I wish we would have seen a lot more of Jeremy Hill with the ball in his hands. He was big, fast, and electric.

Another year of Honey Badger would have been beyond magical as well!
