A retirement party held for an employee of California’s transportation agency that allegedly involved booze and a stripper has sparked a full investigation.
A spokesperson for the California Department of Transportation said Monday that 10 employees have been served termination notices, while two received suspension notices related to the July 10 retirement party for a supervisor. The party was held during work hours at the Monterey Caltrans yard.
A confidential source told KSBW in an email that it was anything but a simple farewell, writing, “it involved open consumption of alcohol, the presence of a hired stripper and employees participating while on the clock and being paid with taxpayer dollars.”
The confidential source said employees were throwing money at the stripper.

“The event was interrupted by another supervisor who arrived unexpectedly and witnessed the situation firsthand. Everyone returned to work as if nothing had happened,” wrote the confidential source in the email.
The email also alleges some supervisors were seen drinking alcohol then driving away from the yard in official Caltrans vehicles.
Sounds like someone wasn’t invited to the retirement party

This should make the OT happy since they want to run government more like private business.

Plot twist. Stripper was a transvestite.

So they are now on administrative leave, being paid on tax payer dollar and not working. Interesting.

The problem I see is that there was only one stripper. Should be one for each year of service.

If we had some names we could look up their salaries on Transparent California.

This supervisory got there just before they ran a train on her…
Wasn’t Caltrans recently in the news for someone building an apartment at one of their stations?
