Never would have guessed that the Greenville, SC CSA has more people than the Greater NOLA CSA.

How does this miss Austin that actually has an SEC school in it but include 3 TX cities that don't?

Does it really not have a CSA?

ETA: looks like it could be difference between MSAs and CSAs.

Austin's estimated MSA population is 2.55 million.

1) IDGAF if it's in Texas. El Paso and Las Cruces are not, never have been, and never will be SEC country.

2) I guess the Gulfport/Biloxi CSA doesn't count. We'll continue existing in tLandmass between Mobile and New Orleans in secret.

I didn’t know Slidell was part of the NOLA CSA but not Mandeville / Covington.

I know that mandeville / Covington came out during COVID and will likely be added back, but interesting nonetheless.

San Antonio is on there, so you'd expect Austin-Temple-San Marcos, or maybe even a CSA that has Waco.

Killeen/Bell County would be included in the Austin CSA. That's another 400k people.

fricking hell, stop coming here would y'all......

ETA: Is Athens not included in this? Why would Albertville be and not Athens? Hell, it is basically all city from Huntsville to Athens at this point. They've grown together down highway 72 and traffic is a fricking nightmare almost all the time now.

There are several metropolitan areas around the country that aren't a part of a CSA (Combined Statistical Area)so any cities not listed are only part of an MSA and not a part of a CSA.

There are 387 metropolitan statistical areas designated by the U.S. Census Bureau but only 181 combined statistical areas so most MSAs aren't part of a CSA...Austin, TX, Charleston, SC, and Gulfport-Biloxi, MS just happen to be three of the over 200 MSAs that aren't part of a CSA

“Austin CSA” is not a term anybody uses. It’s MSA. It does not include bell county.

The only CSA I care about ceased being relevant in 1865 sadly.

Just bought my first home last year here in a good school district in south downtown. Was told it was a terrible time to buy.

Houses around me that are similar sf but no pool like mine already selling +$50k from what I closed on.

Just a reminder that the best time to buy a home was yesterday.

You need to add in the MSAs that aren’t CSAs too. Tampa/St. Petersburg for example.
