Go for it. Battery powered is great.
Consider this, too, Greenworks 60v series is nice

I bought it all. I cut and edge a small lawn so there’s that. Very satisfied.

String Trimmer and Blower are very powerful. At the time, I just couldn't bring myself to go battery powered for a mower. Now that I've used their products I would fully trust a battery mower from them. Batteries aren't cheap but having extra makes the stress of losing charge a non factor.

I have the Ego trimmer and blower.

I'll get the Ego mower when my Husqvarna gas mower wears out, which will be soon probably. Had it several years now. Not replacing a mower that still works.

Have the Ego blower, weedeater, and hedge trimmer. They all work great. I would make sure that you file the warranty information when you purchase them, this will help cover the battery if you have any issues with them. I did have one that wouldn't charge anymore and they sent me another one.

The line IQ is not great. I had to sue WD40 on the string in the spool for it to work. It would only feed half way to the cutters. Slow to release line. Probably the humidity of LA.

Replaced it with a bump head.

I have an EGO string trimmer and 16” chainsaw, and couldn’t be happier with both of them.

They sometimes run specials where you buy tie tool and they give the battery and charger free. Wait for one of those specials before you buy.

I've had a couple. I find that the batteries are hit and miss.

i have
2 hedge trimmers (one was recalled but they asked me to destroy it and sent me a second one without me having to send the old one back..waiting until this one wears out first)
2 leaf blowers (530cfm and 700?)
1 chainsaw (love it!)
1 multi-head with polesaw and string trimmer attachments
1 string trimmer (having troubles hence the new multi-head version)
1 lawnmower
7.5, 2 5.0s and 2 2.5 batteries
117 ego chargers

yeah i'm all in

3rd year for me and second house using it.

its ok but my new yard is a beast and so even running all 5 batteries through it, it won't finish. otoh it forces me to take a break in this heat.

i never use the self-propelled aspect b/c i'm trying to save as much battery juice as possible to extend the coverage.

I'm pretty deep in the Ego line. We have an acre and I cut on one of their riding mowers on a single charge. I have 2 chainsaws, blow, trimmer, and the multi-head with the edger, hedge trimmer, and another trimmer. And the pressure washer and shop light, and two power adapters... I'm pretty happy.

Power went out in the neighborhood 30 mins before the LSU baseball championship game. Ego batter and a power adapter got the wifi and TV running to watch the game.

I do think the batteries aren't quite what they were last year. But I keep them in a hot shed and that's probably not helping them.

you win.

to be fair, i bought a shitton of ego tools at the dirty chicken (dirt cheap) when they got a bunch of used crap in that put me over the line.

the mower, string trimmer, blower & hedge trimmer were all new; the rest i got on major sale.
