The German luxury automaker recently announced a collaboration with Microsoft to integrate its Meetings for Teams app directly into its newest CLA vehicle. For the first time, you'll be able to join a Microsoft Teams call in your car while using the in-car camera to video conference with your colleagues while you're driving

Imagine advertising this as a feature you think people actually want.

I hate Teams when I’m at work. That sounds terrible.

What an awful idea, frick that

companies seem to be going out their way to piss customers off at this point

Mercedes could just make a stripped down G-Class (possibly even a pickup version), sell it for $45k starting price, and print more money than ever but noooooo instead they have to target the giga-Karens.
Good grief they’re dumb

How many of the cars with this feature will end up having “Student Driver” bumper stickers?

I can do this with my work cell phone mounted to my dashboard if I wanted to. This seems wildly unnecessary.

That would suck. Teams is annoying as hell.

Teams is the fricking worst
GoToMeeting is better

Not sure why you’d go here for the comparison when you can argue CarPlay already handles whatever niche is scratched with this.
Dashboard mounts are far inferior to actual integration.

This wouldn't go over in the mother land.

I just spent approximately $7,500 replacing the technology features in my truck (the touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, charging pad etc). I want less fricking technology (that I never use), instead of more. I don’t need the truck to remember my seat settings…simply pulling the lever and adjusting has worked for many decades. I don’t need the fancy touchscreen A/C controls…sliding the knob to blue (or red) and turning the knob to Max A/C controls, again, has worked for decades.
These new features are a pain in the arse and expensive to fix. I don't need nor want apps for my car. And that certainly includes Microsoft Teams.
