A few days ago I was pumping gas next to an older guy in an old Ford pickup truck. I was thinking that I really liked that old classic F150. I asked the guy what year it was, and he said 1996. I was at LSU in 1996

Subtle, “I’m an old classic” brag.

Just hired an LSU grad at work. I mentioned I was in college for 2003 National Championship.

He proudly declared he wasn’t born yet in 2003.

That one hurt.

I heard Taylor Swift on a classic country station a few months ago.

I’d say around 10% of trucks on the road here in MS are still cat eyes.

OK

I’m not feeling young. And since I don’t have any kids, I am responsible for taking care of my pets as best possible. That’s the right thing to do.

Just for the record. Since folks trying to provoke me into getting heated.

Some trivia here, the 70 SS396 was actually a 402. GM increased the bore by .030. The “396” was well known for performance oriented engines, so GM decided to keep the 396 attached to the Chevelle SS.
