I hate a thief

I kept a 19’ Trout Master on some property outside of Tuscaloosa. I don’t make it to the property often but was told by a neighbor that he saw someone take the boat. Boat was tracked to some kid at a trailer park and the boat has already been sold. Likely in a different state by now. Really hoping to get my boat back. Make sure to check on your properties and locks often.

Man that sucks. You may remember I had a 4 wheeler stolen from our camp north of Shreveport near the Texas line last October and posted about it. The detective said it was most likely taken to Texas and sold; he said that's usually what happens up there. It still hasn't turned up.
Luckily I was able to buy one almost identical from another OB poster at a very reasonable price.
Hope you get your boat back.

Much less than yours, I kept my Betts cast net on the beach under my shibumi last week, went in for two hours, came back and it was gone.

I feel you. Someone in New Orleans stole my truck last week from hotel parking and dealing with the after math is a huge pain in the arse especially since I’m moving houses next week

I have property on Lake St John where I kept my 85 Bass Tracker. This boat was old as shite and had a 25 hp. Probably wasn't worth $500. Someone stole it out of the boat house without a key or the trailer. I feel like it wasn't even worth their effort.
Now, I have a new boat..... I have two locks on it, a camera in the boat house and I cut the power to the boat house so they can't lower it easily.
I also hate a thief.

I believe the kid is being prosecuted and they are trying obtain info on the buyer. Kid never presented a bill of sale so the buyer likely knew it was stolen. I hope they get them both.

I would contact the sheriff or police or whomever arrested him and tell them that you want to pursue all avenues of prosecution.

I have them on all 3 of mine now. But from what I read, if someone steals it and the air tag is near them for a certain amount of time, it notifies their phone. Supposedly so people can't secretly slip one on your car or truck and track you.

Yeah I believe that's the case. It's more for my peace of mind and it alerts me the second that my 4 wheeler leaves my properties without me or my wife's phone.
I also have it hidden under the seat in the air filter department. So at least kind of difficult to find.

They still have to find it. Lots of hiding spots in a vehicle and 4wheeler.
Plus…you can set tag to notify you when it leaves location you set it at under “notify when left behind” and “notify me except at” option.
