I've hunted with both a 44 mag H&R as well as a 35 whelen H&R. I haven't shot the 44 at a deer in years, but the 35 whelen has a very heavy trigger. Good guns overall tho

I believe this was in 2015, I ate a can of bean dip that had an expiration date on it from 2002. I ate the entire can with some fritos and my stomach was pretty upset after. Not sure if it was because the age or the fact I ate a whole can of bean dip in one sitting

I wouldn't worry about the land being too small to hunt on. I have 80 acres that I hunt on and I still hunt on the property lines so I can hunt the edges.

I would suggest Ponchatulas or Utility Brewing. Sundown is pretty good but they have a pretty limited menu.

Don’t waste the money on a compact rifle that your kid won’t use in a couple years. Just get a full sized rifle. With that being said, a savage axis is a good rifle for a kid. I’ve been shooting one since I was a kid and I still use it.
