Rudy and Pacos is still my favorite after 25 years in the area.
Vargas and Katie's are very good.
Guidos is good but pricey.
Gypsy joint is good.
Shrimp n stuff and sonnys are local favorites.
Sunflower Cafe is very hippie/granola, but it's good quality ingredients.

Gaidos is a shell of what it was. Millers is much better.

Shrimp and Stuff is great for a casual lunch or dinner. Reminds me of a no-frills plate lunch place with great Po Boys and cold beer

I had Gaido’s redfish Michael with crabmeat beurre blanc a few months ago and it was phenomenal.

The Spot was good for a beachy kinda place.
Cajun Greek was pretty good but different.
Mario’s sea wall Italian was great. My wife and I went for a date night and really enjoyed it.

Rudy and Paco's is still great.
BLVD seafood is pound for pound as good as anything on the Island.
Katie's is definitely worth it. This is where pretty much all the fresh fish on the island comes from. Incredible company and you definitely have to visit the fish market. Its the real mccoy.
Number 13 is more of a steak/seafood upscale vibe and Ive always had good meals there. This is where I go for steak.
Sharky's- good lunch spot, good burger
Shrimp n stuff- My favorite fried shrimp on the planet, great for a lunch on the cheaper side
Maceo's- good muffaletta
Sunflower bakery and Millers Seawall grill are both great breakfast spots
Honestly theres way way more. Galveston food scene is seriously underrated.
