In case you missed it. Here's some optimism for a change.

If trey could actually be a true 4, this works out well for us

Trey's defense has been his weakness his entire career. He hasn't been quick enough to guard on the perimeter, and he hasn't been strong enough to guard in the frontcourt.

If he's strong enough now to be a good defender of opposing PFs, then the league is in trouble.

He can also guard centers too if he’s really 6’11. Put Zion at the 4 and Herb at the 3.

On today's edition, we have a Hawk and Bey sighting.

Would be really cool if Hawks tattoos gave him a special ability to shoot over 35% or not be the worst defender in the NBA.

Too bad they don't have healing powers for his back. I think that's the main issue with him and we should blame the Pels for rolling the dice on him with our overall medical history.

They did the right thing shutting him down at the end of last season. Hopefully it gave his back time to heal.

TM3 looked on the verge of a big leap at times last year. With him you know, he’s gonna put in the work. Assuming Zion health, our season may ride or die with how good of a #2 he is.

He, Zion, and Herb are really a perfect trio. TMIII and Zion create space for each other and help prevent double-teams. Herb covers for their defensive inadequacies and creates turnovers, and all three of them are lethal in the fast break.

I can't wait to watch them again.

The season hinges on the Zion-Trey-Herb combo. I have been a proponent of the team moving forward with this trio as the core for 2 years. I REALLY hope they address the center position in a meaningful way so they have a real chance to be successful.
