Dixon McMakin is the obvious choice to replace Dan Borne

Dixon would do a phenomenal job of carrying on the proud traditions Borne has electrified Tiger Stadium with for my whole life. He did great as the basketball PA announcer and really hope he gets the job in Death Valley. No offense to the guy who did it last year but he really was boring and awful. I actually even spoke to Matt Thomas about it and he was 100% on board. Geaux Tigers!

I believe Tiger Nation would love Dixon. His is prepared, professional, quick, funny and just pure entertainment to listen to. I don’t know the candidate field well enough to say he is the obvious choice.. I can say he is South Louisiana, loves LSU and would make even early season non-conference games entertaining. No one is for everyone, so if you have not heard him it would be worth giving him a listen. I am not Dixon, his dad or a family member. However, I do know him well enough that I know what an honor it would be to him to even be considered.

Definitely going to miss Dan Borne, but Dixon would be a strong replacement.
He did a great job as the PA announcer at basketball games this past season and brought an energy that was noticeably missing during last football season without Borne.

Franques isn’t the answer. I’m sure he’s a great guy and obviously loves LSU, but LSU football isn’t his strong suit.
Give Dixon a shot. Last year was anemic in the stadium from a PA standpoint. Dixon does a great job with Catholic, so why not? Just not a repeat of last year.

Unfortunately for Dixon not a lot of people went to the basketball games. I went to 1 and before I knew it was him i commented to the people i was with that whoever the PA was was light years better than the football games last season. He's getting a lot of downvotes on here but he really would be great for the job. Hope he gets it.
