re: Dixon McMakin is the obvious choice to replace Dan Borne

I believe Tiger Nation would love Dixon. His is prepared, professional, quick, funny and just pure entertainment to listen to. I don’t know the candidate field well enough to say he is the obvious choice.. I can say he is South Louisiana, loves LSU and would make even early season non-conference games entertaining. No one is for everyone, so if you have not heard him it would be worth giving him a listen. I am not Dixon, his dad or a family member. However, I do know him well enough that I know what an honor it would be to him to even be considered.

Went to concert last night. 33 songs long and it was awesome. These are directly to the seats I had last night and they are fantastic. Look them up, they are going for 2K a peace going to let them go for the $850 I paid for them.

Good spot my friend. How quickly we age!
I can confirm he is very interesting to hang out with. Don’t think he is a big beer drinker as on two separate nights we shared Burbon late into the night. He has vast amount of interest outside of football. We almost never spoke about football and if we did it was because I was interested and brought it up. He sees things from a very different perspective whichI did not always agree with but always thought it was interesting and very well thought out. Both nights lasted til after 3:00 am and both times I went to bed and he stayed up drinking and talking to those younger than me who could still stay awake.
Ben Roethlisburger, letter he sent to LSU as a freshman after a loss in TS (class act).

Watching the NFL pregame commenting on Ben and his likely last game today. They commented on what a class pro he has been. It is clear he was a class act well before he went to the NFL. How many freshman send letter to opposing coaches completing the other team not only for their play but also the sportsmanship the team played with. I was at that game and he played with heart and after reading the following letter I have always pulled for Ben.
BATON ROUGE — Miami (Ohio) star quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, named Freshman All-America last season, sent an e-mail to LSU head football coach Nick Saban after returning to Oxford, Ohio, commending him for not only his team’s skill on the field but its class and sportsmanship after the game. Roethlisberger allowed LSU to post this e-mail here on LSUsports.net.
“Coach Saban,
This is Ben Roethlisberger, the quarterback at Miami. I hope you get to read this … I wanted to first and foremost congratulate you and the team on the game on Saturday. You guys are the best team that I have ever played against and I think you guys will go a long way this year … Your defense was very confusing and had us on the run all game. But that is not the main reason that I am writing you this e-mail, I really was impressed with your team after the game. They had the most class out of any team that I have ever played against in high school or college and I commend you for that. Many of the players, including your big name players, came up to me after the game and congratulated me and told us good luck and have a safe trip home. I just want to commend you and your team for all of the class you have … best of luck and win the SEC.

re: Ahoj! A new Tiger fan from Pilsen, Czechia

What is your address... I will send some LSU gear for you to wear for your friend!
You are sighting the statute that applies to Temporary, Substatute and Rental vehicles. The scenario provided above does not place the car into the a "temporary, Substatute, rental car". As those may fall under the standard to which insurance comes first. I can pull virtually any policy for you but they all read about the same.
THis is from State Farms policy:
"Temporary Substatute Car means a car that is in the lawful possession of the person operating it and that:
1. replaces your car for a short time while your car is out of use due to its:
A. Breakdown;
B. Repair;
C. Servicing;
D. Damage; or
E. Theft; and
2. Neither you nor the perso operating it own or have registered."
The above condition is not what the original person asked; nor does it likely fall under the scenario I of the borrowing the car to tow a trailer which is a different scenario from the origanum poster.
RS. 22:296 that is scited is an ex exception to the rule. In neither are do you fall under this exception.
An example for the revised statute is when you rent a car from Avis and you purchase their additional insurance coverage for the $12.00 a day. That coverage would come before coverage on the vehicle.

Insurance on the vehicle comes first as long as the driver is a permissive user. The drivers insurance is secondary to the insurance on the vehicle.
In the end, the owner of the car is not responsible even though his insurance coverage covers the driver as an insured under the policy. There are two exceptions to that I can think of: 1) As someone pointed out before, if there was negligent entrustment of the vehicle (example, if you lent tthe car to someone you knew was drunk or someone you know should not be driving, think a 10 year old). And 2). If the vehicle itself may have been a cause of the accident (Think bald tires or lending a car out knowing the lights don't work at night).
Assuming there is no negligent entrustment, the driver himself is responsible for any amount owed above the available policy limits.

Really good dude and an up and coming lawyer. I understand those that would not want him suing them, but if you needed someone to represent you he should be on your list.
One of the good guys!

re: Does anyone here sit in Section 401?
Posted by Bigsweet on 10/27/14 at 3:22 pm to MiloDanglers
If you ever have a chance try that section at least once. You may love it, you may hate it but you will always remember it. Those guys of been there a long time tand are pretty funny. The story is close to true. One guy did lead the chant of Go State! Go State! Along with many other non traditional cheers. Another guy had his shirt off because he didn't get the Ole Miss fan shirts pending the outcome of the game. Ole Miss fan welshed on bet and fans gave him a little ribbing.
Is kick off time for the LSU West Virginia game set yet?
Posted by Bigsweet on 9/6/11 at 5:52 pm
I will be in New York Friday night and can fly in to Pittsburgh sat in the morning. However, it only makes sense if it a night game.
Anyone know of any rooms open in Arlington sat night after the game?
