I'm getting back into smoking meats. I've always had a weber gas grill. I'd like to keep it for ease and quickness of use for those weeknight burgers and whatnot..

Weber Genesis for quick easy cooks.
Weber Kettle for smoking.

I want the new RecTek XFire grill but not sure it's worth $1600. It would take the place of my gas grill and would make smoking meat a lot easier.

Also, thinking about a flat top. Not sure how much I'd use it though.

Just picked up a Weber Genesis Stealth grill and I got the griddle and baking stone inserts to go with it.

Use a Oklahoma Joe Bronco drum for smoking.

Traeger smoker, Cheap royal gourmet charcoal grill, and an Egg.

I use the Egg the least!

Gas grill
Smoker

I need nothing more. I can flat top on either one due to an attachment, but greatly exaggerated how often I would use it.

I have a Recteq 340, Weber Perfomer, and Weber Spirit all of which are approaching 10 years old. They're a little banged up, both Webers have required some minor replacement parts, but all work great.

I wouldn't hesitate on the Recteq, I use mine more than the Webers. Even use it as an extra oven for holidays.

I have a Weber Genesis for grilling and 3 smokers. My oldest smoker is the upright type with the charcoal pan in the bottom, water pan over that and then 2 grates at the top to hold the food being smoked, then the lid.

The second smoker is an electric cabinet style one by Masterbuilt with 4 shelves inside that can hold a good bit of food. It's a good "set it and forget it" type.

My favorite is my homemade 6 ft. tall by 30 inch wide and 18 inch deep one.

I can cold smoke things like cheese, salmon and other fish, etc. or slow smoke stuff like sausages, beef jerky, pork bellies for bacon or cook things with higher heat like briskets, pork butts, chicken etc.

I have a flat top, a pellet smoker and a Webber kettle.

That 3-piece setup can tackle pretty much any job, including quick week-night burgers/chicken whatever.

I don’t miss my gas grill one bit, in-fact I’ll never own one again.

Do your own research on brands, but this combo is tough to beat.

I have the Weber Summit Charcoal which is now called the Weber Summit Kamado. Great grill. Smokes pretty darn well, but limited in smoking capacity.

Weber Smokey Joe, Jumbo Joe, Original Bar-B-Kettle, 2015 Genesis with side burner, and Weber Smokey Mountain. Various cast iron pieces. And a Charbroil Big Easy Turkey roaster.

Bought the 2015 Genesis new and Big Easy new, the rest of the grills I picked up either lightly used on Craigslist/ Marketplace or new for super cheap at end of season clearance.

Got rid of my gas grill, didn't like the clutter.

Only have a kamado grill now. Don't mind the prep for an easy burger, especially with a chimney starter than makes quick work of starting up the fire. Just have to think/plan ahead a bit.

For accessories, I use a stainless steel hotel pan as a water pan when smoking. I don’t remember the exact size, but it fits perfectly. I also have the stainless steel flattop, which I use for things like smash burgers. I believe the one they offer now is not stainless.

I haven’t owned a gas grill in nearly 15 years and I doubt I ever will again. Pellet grills don’t interest me either. The only limitation I’ve ever noticed is cooking capacity, but since I’m usually just cooking for a family of four, it has never been an issue. If that ever changes, maybe one day when I have grandkids, I might look into something larger like an offset smoker. At that stage I would be retired and tending a fire might be something I’d actually enjoy. I’ve always wanted one, but it has never really suited my lifestyle.

I'm not going to bother listing out my outdoor kitchen setup, but I can tell you 100% that you will not be satisfied with that Recteq as a replacement for a Weber Genesis. It's got a place, but that ain't it.

I have a small Weber (Silver?), Traeger Junior, 17" Blackstone, PP36 Smokin Brothers pellet smoker and I just got a Ninja Woodfire XL grill/air fryer/smoker.

The Ninja will be replacing the Traeger and Blackstone on my trips in my RV. My wife loves cooking breakfast on the Ninja. We are using it outside on my my deck for burgers and breakfast when we not traveling in the RV.

Flat top might be the most used thing I have outdoors. It does so many brings.

Also have a ReqTec, BGE, fryer, gas grill, a big trailered offset and lord knows what else.
