Chicken is the most popular food in America because of Bugs Bunny.

It could have went either way. Rabbits and chicken were both common dishes before Bugs. After Bugs, who made his debut at the same time as large scale food production and processing, nobody wanted to serve rabbit.

Rat burgers were quite popular before Mickey Mouse showed up. It's only recently that small food carts in San Angeles have started to serve them again.

Eh, most dishes I’ve eaten of rabbit were mediocre at best. It’s no secret that you can do culinary magic with chicken.

Well cooked and prepared duck is an underrated delicacy. I don’t eat it often but damn.

Rabbit, duck, and chicken is all excellent.
Squirrel is just okay.
Squirrel is just okay.

I bought a pack of chicken thighs for $4.17 this weekend.
I would say that has a lot to do with popularity.

I like chicken in Chinese food, but I’m burned out on nuggets. I really like drunk chickens though, easy to cook and juicy through and through.

I'm told that squirrel requires a dark roux.

Just picked up a few three-packs of large, boneless skinless chicken breasts for $2.99 each.
Most cuts of pork are pretty inexpensive, too.
