Execs, coaches, scouts rank NFL's top 10 QBs for 2025

With 2025 NFL training camps on the horizon, the league's true insiders made their voices heard. ESPN surveyed league executives, coaches and scouts to help us rank the top 10 players at 11 different positions, from quarterback to cornerback and all positions in between. This was the sixth edition of these rankings, and as usual, several players moved up or fell off last year's lists.
A reminder of the rankings process: Voters gave us their best 10 players at a position, then we compiled the results and ranked candidates based on number of top-10 votes, composite average and dozens of interviews, with research and film study help from ESPN NFL analyst Matt Bowen. In total, more than 70 voters submitted a ballot on at least one position, and in many cases all positions. Additional voting and follow-up calls with those surveyed helped us break any ties.
Each section includes quotes and nuggets from the voters on every ranked player -- even the honorable mentions. The objective was to identify the best players for 2025. This was not a five-year projection or a career achievement award. Who are the best players today?
We will roll out a position per day over 11 days. The schedule: running backs (7/7), defensive tackles (7/8), edge rushers (7/9), safeties (7/10), tight ends (7/11), interior offensive linemen (7/12), offensive tackles (7/13), quarterbacks (7/14), off-ball linebackers (7/15), wide receivers (7/16), cornerbacks (7/17).

What else should you know about this class?
The group is more exclusive this time around. In most years, at least 16 quarterbacks attract significant votes. No longer. Just 12 players had traction this time around -- the top 10 plus two honorable mentions. That means that four quarterbacks on contracts of $50 million or more are not under serious consideration for the top 10.
Four of those 12 are from the 2020 draft class, which is turning out to be one of the very best of the 2000s.

Didn't they know that Nuss is a better QB?

I just dont understand how burreaux keeps getting listed behind allen on these list. Anyone with 2 eyeballs and even half a brain can see allen isnt as good!

Is this a next level troll attempt or something?
As of right now, there's a stronger argument for Josh Allen being #1 than Mahomes.

I personally think that Burrow is the best quarterback in the league.
That being said only a true retard would say that Allen isn’t good.

Allen is better than Mahomes.

This’ll cause some bitching, but it’s pretty fair

I'm starting to wonder if the national media is a bit gunshy on Mahomes after Brady made them look like retards a decade ago. Mahomes, while elite, hasn't looked like the best QB in the league for two years now.

Burrow is a stud, but he's played almost his entire career with one of the best receiving trios in the league.
Allen hasn't had shite outside of diggs.

That’s where I’d put him as well. Give Burrow the #1 spot once Allen starts having kids and declines like Mahomes

JD5 isn’t going to have the sophomore slump that so many are predicting either. Gonna help resurrect Deebo’s career.

Since our rankings began in 2020, this is the first year without Aaron Rodgers in the top 10.
Insane they had him top 10 last year

Mahomes being at 1 makes no sense anymore. He hasn’t been that guy for two full seasons
Allen, Lamar, and Joe should currently be ahead of him

If Mahomes didn’t have the multiple Super Bowls, he’s not top 5 on this list.

I was assured by Packers' fans that Love was Top 5.

Burrow being #3 would be very upsetting to many posters on the MSB over the last couple of years.

Are you trying to say that Burrow doesn’t have a case for being the best in the league right now?
If so, I’d love to see your reasoning.

I still like Love quite a bit. I think his knee injury in week1 affected him all year. I'm looking forward to seeing how he does this year.
