I don't think Bondi said what she said for no particular reason.
Honestly, I think it was a scare tactic and they've used it to blackmail people into the BBB deal and other deals. The timing is just too coincidental. Trump has even given them Ukraine shite to boot.

She lost her credibility a long time ago, so there is nothing new here. Bondi does what she is told, that’s why she got the job.
