That's awesome. But wait, didn't Kaleb Jackson do that too?

I mean, just being a man 6'5", 335 would be imposing enough, but then to have to deal with that strength. Better to just try to get around him quickly, no?

Looks like he got that up relatively easily too

Not here to comment on how impressive 425 lbs is, but I noticed 2 things in that video:
1.) that’s a relatively trim looking 335. It looked like his chest extended further out than his stomach did
2.) he had a relatively close/narrow grip during that bench. I know he dropped the weight in his chest but he fired that weight up very quickly with a very narrow grip from what I’ve seen these power lifters in instagram use.
Bottom line, he looks damn strong.

Give me 5 shots at the bench and I could beat that.
We can add them together, right?

Is he expected to contribute any this year?

That’s how I bench 315.

I think he could be the next Campbell/ E. Jones here.
The guy was a freak athletically in high school. I heard someone from On3 say he could do a back flip.
He's also got a mean streak that you could see on his HUDL. I wouldn't be surprised if he locks down a spot this year.

Most 5-stars expect to see the field year 1.

Wasnt he the one that can do a backflip also. Freak athlete

i'd almost consider that 1.5 times how low he had to get it off rack.
425 is pretty good, nothing overly sensational.

Would like to see him doing some relevant exercise like power cleans. Hopefully, he's not wasting too much time in the gym doing bench press

when it moves that quickly, no liftoff required either... it's pretty impressive.
remember football players train for explosiveness, not powerlifting milestones.

Bench press is relevant for OL

Didn’t a video of Dom McKinnley have a video posted of him cleaning almost 400 lbs?

Oh he’s gonna see the field. Doesn’t matter that he’s a freshman

That kid is an absolutely ROCK SOLID 335, he doesn't have any bad weight, this is the same kid that his HS coach was talking about him out there doing back flips at practice. Hes going to be the next great LSU O lineman, he'll be tough to keep off the field at this year

Does Curne know everything he's supposed to know as a Freshman a la Campbell? His physical attributes won't help and he'll get destroyed if he doesn't know who to block on any particular play.

That's literally what 5 Star means.
