Kinda feel bad for the both of them. Missing out on a really cool purchase. I don't think they would've been troublesome neighbors.

Olivia “Livvy” Dunne, the former LSU star gymnast and viral sensation, revealed Tuesday that she was rejected from purchasing Babe Ruth’s former New York City home, saying that the building voted “not to have me live there.”
Dunne, who made an estimated $9.5 million through the “name, image and likeness” rules in the NCAA, claimed she was going to buy Ruth’s $1.59 million Upper West Side pad all in cash.

“It got to the point where the realtor was so confident, Paul and I went, I got an interior designer because I didn’t want to bring my college furniture to Babe Ruth’s apartment, that would be like, criminal,” Dunne said.

“I get a call. The co-op board denied me,” Dunne told her eight million followers in a video titled, “I’m just disappointed that’s all.'” Pretty much the people in the building voted to not have me live there, which is fine.” “Maybe they didn’t want a public figure living there, but I was literally supposed to get the keys and that week they denied me,” Dunne added.

The Yankee slugger’s seventh-floor, three-bedroom, 2.5 bathroom prewar residence is located at 345 W. 88th St and hit the market in March, the Post reported.
“The Sultan of Swat” lived on the property with his late second wife, Claire Merritt Ruth, and their late adopted daughter Julia Ruth Stevens, from 1920 to 1940.

She should buy the building and bounce their asses out.

They definitely didn’t want all the drama that may come with that. I’d deny it too if I lived there.
ETA: so is her home base NYC? That seems insane to spend even with her earnings. What is her long term prospect? I imagine they must seem good to still be spending like that even though her college career is ending.
Why would Skenes want an NYC apartment as a Pittsburgh player? Just seems even with their income that it would be a pain in the arse to keep going.
She definitely has her hooks in him. She’s going to make him a yankee or die trying

Why don’t she scream “discrimination” like I’m sure some would if they were denied?

Yeah, I get why some older folks might not want this.

Not me!
Sharing an elevator with Livvy and Paul would be pretty fricking cool to me.

Probably not. They probably just didn’t want a famous person living next to them

they don't want to deal with the nonsense she brings...understandable

She should post "I guess Paul won't be playing for the Yankees in the future".
That would stir up a hornet's nest and ruin the lives of every member of that condo board.

What drama would she and Paul bring? And no you definitely would not deny it haha

Living near celebrities has major consequences for neighbors.
Its one thing if you're living in Beverly Hills, if you're in some random neighborhood somewhere it can change a lot of dynamics.
I know its a major issue in some places when politicians move in due to security and threat related issues.

Seriously?

I honestly doubt there would be much drama. I mean it's tucked away in the upper west side, and it wouldn't be their primary residence with Paul being in Pittsburgh.

They should go live in South Dakota then.
It's freaking NEW YORK CITY.
