Cornered a neighbor the other day. Noticed they had just got one of those fancy golf carts. I did some googling and I’m guessing he spent around $12k.

I asked him what something like that cost. He said it worked out to around $100/month then followed with a defeated shoulder shrug …”what are you gonna do?” What an idiot.

We are a long way from a recession. Note, this a-hole also has two $70k vehicles in the driveway. What are you gonna do? Idiot.

I saw one that looks like a model T on BAT, super cool but aside from golf course, where do people even use these?

We financed our golf cart for 1.9% APR, 2 year note.

they were running a Fourth of July special during Covid and we jumped all over it

We essentially only paid $16 a month (for 2 years) to finance a brand new golf cart

semi-related.

i gave our old golf cart away to a good friend (not the highlander friends)

he took it apart down to the bare metal, even removed the rivets and put in a larger motor, and a massive BRICK LifePo4 battery pack. i am impressed. i just kinda left it in the shed and it seemed happy enough but he found all kinds of rust that he's sanding off and applying rust-resistant sealer and completely pimping it out.

he's probably 5-6k in at this point; the battery system was almost 3k alone.

I financed a 14k four wheeler in 22 or 23 for 60 months

Y’all worry about people too much. I put half down and paid it off in a little over a year. If I get a good rate I’d rather hang on or invest the cash.

Maybe if you sucked off your boss more you’d have enough money to afford one

Buddy bought a Yamaha gas cart a couple of years ago for 10 grand. Messed with the accelerator and the damn thing will do 30mph.

Makes zero sense. A Honda Big Red back in the day went for $3k and could do work. People are idiots now.

The Honda big red was a fine machine but some of the new ones are insane.

This is what I bought and they weren’t dealing right after covid and the inventory was non existent.

I think I paid around $7000 or so for my Honda Rincon 680 in 2007 or 2008.

I financed my cart for 0% over 24 months…..paid it off in 6.

Financing isn’t always a horrible idea but cars are a shite show for sure.

If you would be using all your cash to buy a golf cart, then you shouldn't be buying a golf cart But I agree, not my business, I don't care
