I went into watching this thinking it would be fantastic due to all the hype surrounding it, if any of you guys enjoyed it, let me know why, maybe there was something I missed.

I enjoyed it but I’d probably never watch it again

This definitely needed its own thread. Wouldn't want your opinion to get lost in the other one on the front page. Everyone must know what you think.

Why was it difficult for you? I thought that it was a fun watch. Nothing groundbreaking, and certainly overhyped to an extent, but fun nevertheless.

I fell asleep during the final confrontation sequence in the Juke.

From Dusk til Dawn did this concept much better and with Selma Hayek.

There were certainly some aspects that I enjoyed.

Michael B. Jordan was good in his dual role. I thought the setting and setup were cool and the film looked great by and large.

Yes it was difficult and will not watch again. I was the only white guy in the theater. I was disappointed they used the N word so much. Made me fell uncomfortable.

It was ok. I thought it was highly overrated. It definitely isnt some great movie. It just happens to be an ok movie in a sea of bad movies

In a world of sequels and comic book movies, a well made film with a decent plot will stand out

I would consider putting it on my top 10 best movies of the millennium so far that’s how much I liked it

I had sort of the opposite experience. I went in with low expectations and walked out thinking “that was really really good for what it was”. I liked it a lot more than I expected I would. Not sure it’s a great cinematic achievement, but I was entertained by a genre I typically think is boring. I hate musicals but thought those parts were really well done.

Had TONS of potential. Feel like the writers started doing coke while writing the latter third of the movie. Turned cartoonish on a dime.

Its good. Not the 2nd coming of the godfather like the whole country keeps claiming along with alot of this board, but its solid.

I do find it funny how this board shits all over Get Out for being racist but praises the hell out of this movie

I thought it was OK, nothing special

It's like all the people who hyped it up had never seen From Dusk Til Dawn

Definitely a rip off of from dusk til dawn, but also much better.

The production, especially the music, was excellent. In fact, the score, and how the music intertwined with the story was amazing.

The script over the last act did fall apart somewhat. I wish they would've been more creative with the battle with the vampires and the Klan shootout was dumb.

The post credit scene did help redeem things a bit.

I like the plot and acting. It was the racist n1gger word that is ok for blacks to say but not whites. They could have left that word out.
