Susie Wiles seems to be keeping things in better order than what we saw in 1.0
1) not nearly as many leaks. (Huge problem in term 1)
2) better synergy among all cabinet members and staff.
3) trump getting his major legislative agenda through congress early in the term, as opposed to the failed Obamacare repeal in term 1
It just seems like trump 2.0 is mainly him on offense, whereas term 1 was him on defense, mueller up his arse, and trump basically raging on Twitter without much to show for it.
The problem with term 1 was that he chose “traditional” folks as his staff, and the cohesion was never there.
He embraced his persona in terms of 2 and I feel like it is working better in terms of actually getting stuff done
This could change of course. But he is off to a better start now than in 2017

This is one of the most consequential terms ever

All about the plan! Wake people up in 1st term, Biden term expose and have people see and walk through the darkness / corruption and now it’s go time. More people are behind him now than 2016-20.

He quit fighting the deepstate.

The hard truth is (and Trump has pretty much admitted it) he didn’t know what the frick he was doing in his first term as far as navigating politicians and knowing who to trust.

A strong visionary leader exec like Trump needs a CoS like Wiles to make sure his ideas are translated into action.
He didn’t have that during v1.0 when he had a tremendous MAGA concept guy like Bannon but lacked that strong organization person.

Not sure what the F happened to you, but you’re drinking the right water these days.

Susie Wiles needs to be fired.
We saw how Trump's first term went with a strict gatekeeper.
She is a problem.

I am not sure Trump truly thought he was going to win in 2016. However, I think his own party didn't think it was going to happen. Either way, neither side really had a plan for building a cabinet that fit the agenda.
A lot has changed since 2016. Trump essentially took over the GOP power structure. He built his own networks for patronage. Finally, I think he figured out how the presidency worked by the time he was leaving the office.
His 2nd term would have probably been a bit more like this one if it started in 2021 rather than 2025. However, he never had to eat the shite sandwich of the consequences for his mostly reasonable actions under COVID: inflation, stagnation, etc. I know people hate when I point this out but letting the Dems eat the inevitable problems after making "money printer go brrr" was advantageous. It would have curtailed things in year 2-4 for him. I suspect he's going to get to enjoy an economic recovery barring the trade war going sideways. He will have a ton of latitude with the public if that materializes.
Additionally, I think the prosecutions against him has made him angrier and more vindictive. He's willing to do things that he would have lost his nerve over the negative press in Trump I admin. This could be a double-edge sword for him but right now it seems to be unburdening him from his own worst characteristics (caring too much what people think of him) and allowing him to prosecute his agenda.

Trump 2 is so much more organized and disciplined than Trump 1. He had no clue he was going to win in 2016 and was completely unprepared. He has been planning on this for years. This is why the left is in meltdown. They still have 3.5 more years to endure this and they have tried everything to take him down. There’s nothing left.

What can be, and what is, unburdened by what has been?
Posted on 7/4/25 at 10:19 pm to Iowa Golfer
The second term is unburdened by not having a deep state Attorney General like sessions.

I hope Susie stays on the entire term

He's got people he can trust all pulling in the same direction under a unified agenda, getting it done. That increases cooperation & efficiency, creates a stronger unity, and reduces conflict.

Trump 1.0 had Reince Priebus and John Kelly as WH COS. One was weak and later was traitorous disaster. Susie Wiles is running a tight ship and doesn’t seem to take a lot of shite.

Listened too much to Jared Kushner in term 1

He also now knows which R's and D's are Uniparty, and who took bribes, kickbacks and who did what, with who, on Epstein's videos.

Agreed, and term 1 was still pretty good all things considered.
