Lots of videos out there of the Guadalupe River flooding near Kerville.
Hope there isn’t too much damage.
That part of Texas has been in a terrible drought. So this may help that somewhat.

Floated the Comal last weekend and it was fine. Had a blast. Cold beer, cold water, beautiful women everywhere. Got out and went to Gruene to hear some music and ate at the Grist Mill. Perfect day
Here is the site to check current and historic flows at different parts of the river. That tells you if it’s low or high

I had a good laugh because I’m in my 40s now and I had a bachelorette party ask me what bars they should hit up in San Marcos that night. They said they would be going out around 11:30 lol

Some spots got wiped out, sucks but they will rebuild, they always do. Still raining up there, all of that water is headed toward Canyon Lake which is at its lowest level since it was built so some good good will come from it.

To be fair, when you can fit 15 states in your state, you’re gonna have a wide variety of weather. That area is desperate for rain so this is very good for the beautiful lakes around there

In fact, fifteen of the smallest states can fit inside Texas simultaneously. Rhode Island, Delaware, Connecticut, Hawaii, New Jersey, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, West Virginia, Maryland, South Carolina, Maine, Indiana, Virginia, and Kentucky

Huh, I never thought of Virginia as a small state.

Water is receding but I saw it created at 32 feet in Kerrville.

A bunch of rain on this type of weekend fricking sucks.

I've seen several pictures of cars that were washed away, unfortunately there will some folks that who lost their lives last night. There were 13 deaths in the flash flood in SA a few weeks back.

See? Texas can't hold us.

The flood “wave" along the Guadalupe River is insane. In Comfort the river rose 26 feet in 45 minutes

Canyon lake really needs this. I don’t know if there are any public boat launches open anymore. Two summers ago there was only 1 and it’s dropped like 20ft since then.

Several summer camps were evacuated during the night. No reports of missing campers.
There will be deaths in the area. Probably the worst possible weekend for a flood there.
