Anything over 7 feet and I feel like I’d be biting off more than I can chew (pun intended)

on land or in the water? What region of the country is the alligator from? Are we fighting at night? Is it cold or hot? if in the water, how deep is it? if on land, is it flat or sloped? Dry land or muddy?

Depends on what tools/weapons I could have. With nothing at all, I would probably be limited to a couple of feet.

Are we talking actual size measured with a tape length or the "There is a X foot gator back there" length? The latter is like male internet inches.

Would be a lot of dead humans based on the answers in this thread.

Probably just on land. I handled one that size before on land and it about whooped my arse even though we had a rope on it. The only one I ever messed with in the water was about 4' and it wasn't terrible. When I start drinking I think I'm Steve Irwin.
