Years ago, at our plant, dude took a pic of a guy sleeping and uploaded it to Facebook. He got canned—not the guy sleeping, the guy who took the picture.

Why do you say the dude is slacking? Only info you have here is a snapshot in time and no knowledge of what the situation is. Dude on break? Talking to boss or coworker? checking out OnlyFans? No way of knowing here.
I work in a plant. We here for 12 hrs at a time. A lot of downtime in that 12…

If anyone has their phone in the unit without a permit (and they wouldn't write a permit for a regular maintenance hand unless there was a legitimate reason) is subject to discipline. Anyone taking photos of plant equipment and posting it on social media is as well. First consideration would be termination.

Yeah, ole baw taking the pic would get run off long before the one fricking off.

He’s obviously typing out his expert political opinion and strategy on the Ukraine Russia war.

I work in a plant too. I've worked in Exxon. And I know one thing, you can't bring your cell phone in any unit. But yes, he certainly could be on break. And whoever took that pic, if found out, will be in more trouble than the guy on his phone.

I knew a guy that got fired for sunbathing on top of a tower. LoL

Buzz off, baw.
I needed a corner away from everyone to meet my quota of two OT threads a day from OilPrice.com. At least I kept my hard hat on to do it.

Come on now, that phone is clearly intrinsically safe.
