There is an ok BBQ spot on the northeast side of town near 59. If you want a badass old-school drive in, drive 25 minutes to Lufkin and go to Ray's. The last time I went to Nacogdoches, it was raining real hard. I went to a tent revival, but the preacher was interrupted by a gigantic bald man with alopecia who claimed the preacher was wanted in several states for carnal knowledge of a goat. That's right, a goat. Shooting commenced and I made my way into the town square and proceeded to get into a all-out brawl with wild man who had his crimes branded across his forehead. After we'd been beaten unconscious, I found my boots and me and the branded man went and set the hotel on fire and then we fricked off to San Antonio. Nacogdoches was nice. Would go back.

You are a couple weeks late. The only time ive heard of people visiting there was for the Annual Texas Blueberry Festival which was on June 14. There is a Travel board on here and you would have likely got better answers there.

Banita Creek Hall is a really cool place to watch live music from well known artists, but on a college budget.
Fredonia Hotel is a few blocks away, has a very boutique feel to it and is not something you would expect to see in Nacogdoches Texas

*Nacogdoches
I like it. Not a ton to do, but I'm good with that.
Stay at the Fredonia, walk over to the brewery and to downtown, have a nice steak and cocktails at The Republic. Enjoy Dolly's for breakfast.

They don’t call it “Naco-nowhere” for nothing.

As others have said, The Fredonia is the place to stay. The hotel bar was good when I was there for a convention. Pretty good brewery and decent restaurant s nearby.

There's a reason the SFA students call it Nac-a-nowhere.

Yeah I went for a wedding and stayed at the Fredonia and went to the Fredonia brewery. I enjoyed both, beyond that have no idea.
