This is the text Ive been getting twice a week.
Unpaid Ticket Notice – Final Enforcement Warning
You have an unpaid traffic citation on record. If not paid by July 5, 2025, we will begin enforcement under Administrative Code D508-12.083:
MDoT will log your violation
Registration will be suspended
Driving privileges revoked for 30 days
A 35% enforcement fee will apply
Legal and credit consequences may follow
Act now to avoid suspension.
Pay immediately:

I get texts saying to pay my toll fees.
It's a scam but wonder how many people actually respond to that shite.

Yup got the same one yesterday. Guess this replaced the unpaid tolls/fines scam.

Mainly the elderly. When\ I worked at the bank I was stopping some old lady from getting scammed at least once a month.

They were initially troublesome for me because I travel a lot and constantly have toll bills from all over the US. I get a lot more since many places that had toll booth attendants moved to pay by mail during COVID. After the first couple of times tracking down my accounts on the correct state websites I realized they were all fake. I suppose many would laugh that I spent the time but the penalties for some unpaid tolls, especially in the NE, go nuclear after a period of time.

Louisiana OMV up out a scam warning on this.
I was getting them 2 & 3 times a week. I just deleted and reported it as junk.

They should get more imaginative when targeting the OT.

I’ve learned that I dont ever get legitimate text messages with a link to pay bills. Not one time in my life that I can think of.

90 year old neighbor came over to our house one morning frantic asking us what he needed to do about this text he received.
I hate all of these subhuman third world piece of shite scammers with a burning passion.

I would still be carful with these. You just never know. What if it was real and you didnt pay your fine and they came and towd your car from your house while you were at work! You would be sorry then and the goverment could say they tried to warn you. Not saying they are all real or all fake, but some that look real i would be rather safe then sorry!
