How many of you have a 4x4 and have actually used it? How often have you had to put it in 4x4 over the last year?

I have a 4runner and use it all the time here in Colorado. Used it this weekend to go camping in a dispersed camping area

about 1x a week to keep the transfer case loose. As far as “have to use it” I do every time I get stuck which is how I get unstuck

Why would anyone buy a 4x4 if they would never use it?

I have one and got stuck 2 weeks ago. Put it in 4 high and got out.

Sometimes I may go years without needing it but when I’ve needed it comes in handy.

There’s a zero percent chance I will ever own a pickup that’s not 4x4 unless it’s a classic truck like a 70’s or 80’s Chevy.

I don't use my near as much as I wish I would, but when I do need it, it sure is nice to have.

I use mine whenever it rains a lot and I have to move my utility trailers around, so pretty regularly during the wet months. And it was a Godsend when it snowed this past year. Not a feature I use every day but I wouldn't own a truck without it either.

I use it all of the time. It was also nice to have when it snowed earlier in the year, auto 4wd was nice.

I use it at least a few times every month.

When I travel to visit friends in eastern Tennessee, it tends to stay in 4x4. If not, I struggle at times.

I try to remember to put it in high every time it rains.

I use 4-LO every time I pull my boat out. Used 4-LO earlier this week trying to pull a stump out the yard. Weather and weak rope beat me but I'll be back.
