Dog days of the sports calendar yet MLB’s ratings stay flat. They are more interested in pandering to GLQ crowd than hyping up the sport.

I don’t even know what this means. I’ve watched a ton of baseball over the last few weeks and haven’t seen any gay stuff.

Leaving Saturday for a few baseball games.

Cardinals @ Cubs
Dodgers @ Brewers
Blue Jays @ White Sox

First time to Chicago and Milwaukee. Stadiums 8, 9, & 10. 10 days off of work is going to be great.

It says a lot about baseball that most don't care to watch even when there are no other sports going on

Friday night and Saturday night should’ve two games each on Fox right now

5-8 and 8-11 central times

Instead, nothing. Nada.

Ratings have gone up over the last several years and are up significantly this year

Don’t know what else y’all want

quote:

MLB on FOX is +10% versus last year with average viewership of 1.841 million viewers per game. ESPN’s MLB coverage has increased +22% versus last year, with average viewership of 1.740 million viewers per game. This season marks the most-watched MLB season on ESPN to this point in eight years (since 2017). Viewership for MLB Tuesday on TBS is up +16% vs. last year, and the best-ever start for its regular season Tuesday coverage. This also includes a +69% year-over-year increase in viewership among the P18-34 demographic.

I know it's asking for a lot but maybe OP to check his facts before posting?

You're absolutely correct

I would like my team to stop being the only team in the league without a DTC streaming option

And then they just piled on in their wrongness.

If you state something wrong on here but title your thread and post with 100% confidence people just instantly believe it

A very fair request and an example of a legitimate complaint with an actionable issue.

went to the Braves game Saturday night and it was a packed house. MLB all star game and home run derby tickets were sold out during the presales at 400-500 a pop for the cheapest seats. MLB is doing just fine

I bet at least a quarter of the topics on this board are just people bitching about why they hate sports. It’s very interesting

I mean, that’s still pretty terrible. Americas past time getting less than 10% of Monday night football when there isn’t shite going on

I do miss the noon Saturday FOX national games from when I was kid. I watched them often and wish they’d bring back an early afternoon national telecast on the weekend. I believe the FS1 games are late afternoon/early evening

Good catch. Phillies braves right?

But they leave sooooo much on the table. It should be multiple games on Friday and Saturday night with some thursdays sprinkled in all the way until start of football

The NFL regular season has 272 total games while MLB has 2,430. Do you honestly think NFL ratings would stay anywhere near as high as they are if they went from 17 regular season games to 162 regular season games for each team like MLB?
