I was there for the Saban years…hard to beat in terms of football ascendancy, party-school primacy, and cost.

But I only know what I know. What say you guys?

I assume the partying in the 80s and 90s (pre Ben Wynn) was epic but the football sucked arse. Baseball make up for it?

Ben Wynn died my freshman fall semester and caused me to drop out of fall rush and pledge in the spring. Unfortunately that didn’t stop the party machine that was LSU.

97-02 was legit. Graduated with zero student loan debt and had the time of my life.

05-09 witnessed a football title, men's final four, and baseball title

Football was also good 05 and 06, men's hoops won the SEC in 09, baseball made Omaha in 08 and had the big win streak, and women's hoops had some final fours

Probably the best all around 4 years for sports

I was there 90 through 95 and football sucked but baseball and basketball were really fun.

ETA: and the partying was epic.

I’m jealous of everyone who were able to attend from 2003-2007 from a pure athletic standpoint.

05-09 I think would have been pretty great.

05-top 5 football finish
06-top 5 football finish; final four
07: football national title
09: baseball title; sec champs basketball

Was there 2004-2010, pretty epic time in sports.

Good party scene.

Still relatively low cost.

1980-85. High water mark of the Greek system. 18 year old drinking age, tuition was dirt cheap. Oil hadn't crashed yet and you could reasonably expect to find a job in this state when you graduated.

Football was up and down. Basketball was lit. Baseball was a non factor.

Definitely the late 90’s early 2000s.

We had baseball, basketball was solid and football on the rise.

What a time to be alive I say.

2007-2011 was an awesome time to be at LSU. We almost had similar bookend natties in football, but for 1/9/12, and won the CWS in 2009.

Yea, my major was slow…or I was slow. Went to grad school in a different college from my major (BS to EE)…so lost a couple of semesters there as well.

Notice that he said he was there, not that he graduated.
