Why is everybody so high on TS? I mean I would really like for Rattlesnake to have a shot with the starters because his rookie year gets an incomplete. No o-line, no WR's, no game plan, this kid was literally thrown to the wovles and he should get a fair shot at starter. I have to admit I've never seen TS play, but I've seen Rattlesnake play and he definitely has the skills.

Everything I have seen so far is that it is an open competition. Did I miss some recent news where they named a starter?

Believe it’s an open competition as it should be given it’s a 2nd and a 5th rounder.

This isn't JR high. Use their names. And save your crying for when the coaches name a starter at QB, you'll have plenty of company.

height
athleticism
arm talent
maturity
experience in different systems
leadership skills.

you know typical qb qualities. There's stuff to like about Rattler too but if Rattler is our QB2 for a couple years, that ain't nothing to sneeze at for a 5th round qb.

He’s probably a low-key racist who wants Spencer Rattler to get the nod even though he showed absolutely nothing last year and won zero games.

These are the same people who can’t believe we didn’t draft Shedeur Sanders.

I think they are pretty even at this point. I don't care who wins as long as they look good doing it.

Wait, they grabbed and actually threw him into a pack of wovles? Did he survive? Wovles are not known to let their prey survive. Where did this take place? This seems incredibly ilegal.

I too would like to see Rattler get a fair shake. But if the coaches see something in the rookie that sets him apart to make him the starter than so be it.

Its not like Rattler is so good that it would be a tragedy if he didn't get the job. They are pretty much on the same level.

Because its pretty clear what Rattler is - an undersized QB that doesn't make up for it with his accuracy or anticipation. The ceiling is low.

If you play TS, maybe you uncover a star. Or, if he sucks, you're getting a high draft pick.

There is NO REASON to win seven games next year. And that is Rattler's ceiling.

Did you hear something that nobody else did? It’s an open competition and starter will earn his spot and be named accordingly at that time.

We've been through OTAs, not training camp, calm down.

I think the new regime is hoping to duplicate what Payton did in Denver with Bo nix. My guess is that rattler would need to really elevate his play to steal the starting spot from the rookie.

I think it would almost be better to start Rattler. If he struggles, let Shough take over and let him grow through the rookie pains. I think it would be a lot more negative press if you start Shough and he struggles and you have to turn to Rattler.

Whoever starts needs to finish. Doing no favors to either of those guys playing back and forth if they make mistakes, which they will. Whoever starts needs some room to be allowed to make mistakes.

If Rattler sucks, start shough next year with a full offseason as said starter and getting full reps and cut rattler.

Who gives a frick? We're winning 6 games next season. None of this shite matters. Let them start whomever they want to.

The Saints didn't draft a player 40th overall to not play. I don't understand why some Saints fans can't comprehend this

We’ll say that, but when Mickey gives Shough fully guaranteed starter contract the competition is just for show.

It’s vital that this pick hits given the guarantees coming.
