I am finally done with these guys.

Had minor issues in the past.........they always gave me coupons to win me back.

Now........last week they changed the oil and air filter in my daughter's car.
They didnt even attach the thing back.
She left to drive to N La and it rattled the whole time and wouldnt start.

Friend of hers opened the hood and saw the filter wide open.

F'ing idiots. Anyone else??

Oil? Sure. I don't know why anyone would ever pay to change an air filter. It's the easiest fix of any part on the car.

I change my own oil for that reason.

Don't forget to have them change those windshield wipers?

A few years back my coworker had the oil changed on his company truck at the Airline hwy near choctaw location. We brought all company vehicles there for many years. They cross threaded his oil drain plug and it constantly dripped after that. It ended up being a costly repair that Take 5 did not want to cover. I think they finally did pay up after our company got a lawyer involved.

A Take 5 in Slidell did about $400 worth of damage to my car a few years ago and kept ghosting me when trying to get reimbursed.

Used to go all the time with no issue

Never again

They over tightened the oils filter on the last time I went and managed to frick it up and didn’t bother replacing it. I didn’t discover there was an issue until couple days later when I noticed oil all over the driveway

Those quick change oil places are notoriously bad.

If you don’t want to do it yourself find a good local mechanic. Sure, you have to get out of your car and wait a little bit longer but they’ll do better work and use whatever oil you want

Mavis on Highland did this to my daughter's car. Apparently they put a wrench on the filter and the wrench teeth punctured the filter. When I told them about it they denied any responsibility and they assured me that they never use a wrench to tighten a filter. They are on my "never again" list

Stopped using them when one of the workers told me to start up my engine. One of the other workers overheard and and yelled that there was no oil in the engine. I never went there again.

Those discount oil change places pull bums off the street to change your oil. I always laugh when people complain they screwed something up because you get what you pay for with those kinds of places

Even with a coupon they always find a way to bring it up well over $100. "Sir, your car takes XX quarts and the coupon is only good for XX quarts."

Had them change the oil in my truck, once (Westbank) they must have put the new filter on with an impact wrench.... none of my filter wrenches could break it free, had to punch a screwdriver through the thing to get enough torque on it. On the plus side, unlike others', it didn't leak!

I'll change my own oil in the rain before letting those fools touch anything again.

Just got an oil change this weekend. I told them I just put in a new air filter (true statement) so they didn't bother cracking it open. I'd rather they not go tinkering under my hood, but they did two oil changes the past two weeks just fine.

they will pull your air filter and bring it to you to show you how dirty it is. They do this without asking every time. I never let them replace it. I can easily do that myself.

Twice they did this and f*cked up my wifes car. Both times, they did not put the housing back together properly. The first time, I noticed that it was driving poorly on the way back to the house. Checked it when I got home and reattached it. The second time, it wasn't caught and it threw an error code and shut down her car on the interstate between hammond and BR. I had to get it towed to a mechanic shop only to find out it was due to the improperly closed filter housing.

My dip stick was broken off. Im not absolutely certain it was them but I don’t think the second group did it.
