LSU would be 1 win away from a MCWS Title?

Honestly, they’ve exceeded what I thought could happen.

Some point around when we were 30-3 and 10-2 in conference

I was skeptical all the way until they beat Arkansas without having to use Anderson and Eyanson.

I have always thought this team would be an Omaha team. Went to some fall and spring practice. Jay built this team around great pitching and defense. Every year he has been here the pitching has gotten better over the season.

I didn't really think about it being possible until Super Regional weekend.

You never really can visualize it until the picture becomes a bit more clear though.

Before Texas series was prob my highest confidence until postseason. After the Arkansas win last sat it felt real good.

Around the time texas lost Spencer I started to realize there was no team separating itself from the rest of the pack but I never thought we were actually that good until last week. It always felt like we were an Omaha team but didn't feel like a champion. In hindsight it should've been obvious we would dominate in this format with Anderson and Eyanson being as good as they are

Some of those 1:30 am heroics also made it clear they had a little magic in them.

They’ve been in the top heap all year. Anyone who at any point didn’t think this squad was right here as much as anyone else is just a negative person. We’ve never dropped from the striking position

Thought anything less than Omaha would have been a disappointing season too

But would not have bet much we’d be in this spot.

Feb 12th, two days before the season, I placed a bet on the tigers to win it all. Let’s finish it off tomorrow

With our pitching staff, I've always thought winning the 4-team double elimination for a regional and first part of the CWS would be our biggest stumbling block. Then, they stepped up and starting pitching better and better every weekend the last month or so of SEC play.

After the Tennessee series I felt like we had a legit shot.
