To get back into employment. Jobless claims in the area around DC is at 4 year high

This could explain why they have spent millions do dollars on legal fees to fight the firings. They were aware it would be a tough job market or something

Lots of folks having trouble finding jobs right now. And these workers are low to minimally skilled so it's going to be a while for them.

Welcome to the real world.

I can’t lie, I’d have a lot of trouble transitioning to the private sector.

I’ve been working for the fedgov for too long and am now tainted.

Federal employees milking the system.

Never in a million years would I have imagined that.

Activity levels on the OT during working hours suggests otherwise.

The overwhelming majority of federal government workers have no marketable skills.

yeah, lets fire people and then give them shite about being unemployed .
everyone needs a job, I find it hard to celebrate people losing their livelihood. except drug dealers or something.

Skill-less? Shirley you jest?

With the mcmansions that have desecrated the Virginia and Maryland countrysides, I'd expect meeting their mortgage notes is a new and challenging opportunity for them.

Behold my field of fricks that I give.

The Beltway has been doing great while the rest of the country has felt the economy. I don’t particularly have a lot of sympathy for laid off government workers.

Wrong. The Federal workforce is generally higher educated and more skilled and experienced than the private sector.

Job market was already rough. A massive number of layoffs hitting the market at once exacerbates the problem.

I hear Delta Downs is hiring. Those stalls aren’t going to muck themselves.
