Ram to offer 10 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranties in the US starting in 2026

Stellantis is still struggling, but Ram is one of the few areas where they have real potential for growth.

They recently moved the HD pickups to the ZF transmission. So they have a pretty robust setup across all trucks now when it comes to transmissions.

Ram fans are getting a lot of good news lately. Earlier this month, the truck brand revealed that it's bringing back the popular Hemi V-8. Now, Ram has announced that it plans to increase the length of its limited powertrain warranty for most of its 2026 models.
By offering 10 years or 100,000 miles, Ram will have the longest powertrain warranty among full-size trucks. Currently, its coverage is limited to five years or 60,000 miles for gas-fed models, which aligns with Ford and GM rivals. Like most heavy-duty trucks, Ram's diesel powertrain warranty lasts until 100K miles, but it's capped at five years

Along with the half-ton and HD trucks, Ram says the models that will receive the improved warranty protection include the chassis-cab 3500, 4500, and 5500, as well as the ProMaster vans. While the off-road-ready Ram RHO and heavy-duty Power Wagon are eligible for the higher warranty limits, all-electric models such as the Ram ProMaster EV are excluded.
Ram's new limited powertrain warranty covers the axles, driveshafts, engine, transmission, and transfer case.

These are two of the 2026 Ram models that will have the Hemi. There's supposed to be a few more trim packages with the Hemi.
I'm kind of digging the new Hemi badge

And went back to the CP4 fuel pump and stuck with the hydraulic lifters in the Cummins. fricking horrible decision.
They get soooooo close and then F it up.
Ok customer, here's that one thing you wanted to make this whole package perfect (new transmission) but we're going to take away two other things that made it more reliable than the competition (the fuel pump and solid lifters).

Waiting for the dipshits from the extended warranty thread to pop in and say you need to still buy the extended warranty.
Honestly every manufacturer should offer 10/100000 now on powertrain. Per consumers report 95% of new engines hit 100000. The only reason they do not, is because dumbasses keep buying worthless extended warranties, thus profit.

Just buy a truck from bayou ford, Chrysler, Ram and get the lifetime million mile warranty ??
I’m sure they will be quick to honor it too.. there is probably a list of fine print that is unrealistic too

With most modern trucks typically lasting 300K - 400K I am suprised all major manufacturers are not already offering this. Honestly, I would be more concerned with air conditioner, electronics, etc. failing rather than power train.
If I am paying $75,000 for a new truck, it damn well better last 100,000 miles.

Not a dumbass when an electronics issue can cost 5k-10k or more. How much is an a/c compressor repair?

Yes, easily. I'm honestly surprised that number is not 99%

I know someone who bought a dodge. He’s had it for 1 year.
The mechanic shop had it for the other 2.

Don’t know why Ram gets a bad rap. Mine has 140k miles, zero issues. I used to have GM and Ford and I’m having better service with the Ram. Within my family and close friends there are a total of 7 Ram trucks. No problems with any of them.

Nope

I really need to upgrade to a 4wd and probably a 2500, but my 20 ram 5.7 hemi without e torque is paid for and only has 50k miles on it. I may just drive it until it quits.
ETA: got mine with 100k warranty for 5 dollars a month if I financed with ram. I paid it off after a year, still have the warranty.

So this means Dodge drivers will still be hunting every car down that isn't going 20 mph over the speed limit doesn't it

10 years or 100,000 miles,
So I was told by a long time car salesman once that these long factory warranties were indicators that the vehicles were pieces of shite. Is this true or false?

I wish an American/Americans would buy the company, pull all the Chrysler parts out, and spin off the foreign stuff.
