Are the Pod of Geauxld guys still alive?

They haven’t released an episode in 6 months and I was wondering if they were done with their podcast or just on a hiatus. They have the best LSU podcast hands down and it would be sweet to hear their takes on the baseball team.
BR sports media is below average right now. OTB lost a lot of its flavor when T-Bob left and Mikie is great but the production quality of his show is less than stellar and makes it frustrating to listen to at times

You don’t like Musso? I enjoy listening to his post game reactions and segments during the week.
Moscona is pretty good sometimes too.

It’s better now. I stopped listening to OTB because I just want sports talk, not shenanigans. Slowly giving the show another try now and interested to see if Flynn can come into his own on the radio
I like Hunt’s show a lot because he talks only sports and isn’t afraid to sometimes let the inner journalist take a backseat the inner fan. It’s almost like having a one-sided convo with a buddy at the bar who’s more plugged into the program than you are
Musso at the Box and Mik’d Up are both good listens for different reasons.
If you want to listen to Moscona without the theatrics of his afternoon show, listen to Locked on LSU. It’s only sports content and more akin to what his radio show was 8 years ago
For a market our size, we really do have a bevy of content creators to chose from. Somehow I still want more especially at this time of year

I think life has gotten in the way of doing podcasts for those guys. Family and careers have taken over their time. They also seemed to want to be Pod of Golf instead of talking about LSU there at the end assuming it has ended.

Yep, doing well living their lives outside of the podcast.

Musso is probably the best. I would recommend Musso at the Box.
I don't normally mind Moscona, but I can't stand his baseball takes. The arrogance of his opinions and the manner in which he delivers them really drives me away. He didn't like Curiel batting in the 6th or 7th hole that one game and tried to discredit the 3 run homer, because it barely got out. He tried to play what if the ball didn't get out and he had Braswell batting after him. Well it did get out and Curiel was able to drive runners in at that spot. I don't always agree with Jay's decisions, but if they work out then I can admit it was a good call. I'm someone who never wanted to move Curiel out of batting leadoff. However, for that one game where it worked against a lefty starting I was okay with it. Especially given the results.
Matt especially pissed me off during Hoover when he bitched about Eyanson closing out game one. Then he said don't listen to anything Jay says. That the only reason Jay threw Eyanson there was because he wasn't sure they had a national seed . And if Jay said any other reason he was lying.
Just thinking about Matt's arrogance over Jay's decision is pissing me off all over again. Jay pitched Eyanson in that game for multiple reasons, but mostly to set him up to throw game one the following week and to get him relief experience in case there was a Monday game. And there was. He liked Eyanson out of the bullpen over Anderson.
Gah, I can't stand Matt's arrogance when it comes to baseball. He doesn't act this way with other sports. Not to this degree.
OP might want to check out SEC Unfiltered or even D1's guys for a little extra baseball coverage. I don't watch them much and realize others may not like them, but trying to give out other considerations.

I listen to him on the way home from work and his sound effects and screaming into the mic is definitely annoying.
I'd love an alternate way to hear LSU talk in the afternoon.

Maintaining anything for 8 straight years is very difficult to do especially for free.
The various major life milestones and occurrences typically get men in their mid 30’s thrown off track of religiously prioritizing their hobbies.
With that said, per their Twitter accounts, they are back in the same area and plan to go back to their roots of in person “studio” recordings. For the OGs, we all know in person episodes were peak POG. It looks like that’s their goal. So no. Not dead yet.

Agreed. POG is the best LSU only pod out there. Looked forward to every single episode

Had*
They released a few football pods and while they still have a fun dynamic, they don’t even know the names of all of our players anymore. I get it, podcasts are a lot of work and people grow up and can’t be as obsessed with LSU sports as they once were but it’s hard to listen to guys talk about a team when they know less than you.
With that said, I will gladly welcome their pod back if they get back to grass roots and the old shenanigans.

I've never listened to a more arrogant local sports radio show host than him.
He is so cocky, I can't listen to the dude.
When his special guest Alabama week was Landon Collins I stopped listening that day. I guess it shouldn't be a surprise considering he was a Notre Dame guy first but he hated O more than he loved LSU.
He rode Budlights dick throughout the tranny thing snd had no problem backing the racist Ryan Clark.

Normally not a fan of Moscona. Too many wild rants and odd takes. However, I did listen to his interview with Seth Dardar and the one with Milam, Anderson and Jones. I like listening to his interviews much better than his opinions. Also as someone said, his Locked on LSU podcasts are better than his radio show.

I feel like they have mainly been a football pod. Hopefully they pop back up this summer

Not even close to the best but not bad. When him and Taylor host shows as fill ins I enjoy it more. Those two would be great together. Put them midday, Hunt is boring

Whenever Moscona has a prediction that works out he will make sure you hear about it at least 5 times. Whenever he gets something wrong for some reason it never gets brought up again.
Posted on 6/12/25 at 7:52 am to NeilArmstrong1969
I assume that they will drop one here in a month or so for the football season start.
I don't count on them sticking to a schedule, they aren't getting rich off their pod. I'm just pleasantly surprised when one pops up.

My opinion: Moscona’s opinions on small ball discredit any other baseball opinion he has. It can be an entertaining listen after a game if you just want to hear something but I don’t take his analysis seriously.

I like Moscona’s Locked On LSU podcast. I listen to it everyday. The only time he gets on my nerves is when he does the whole I told you so shtick. “There’s listeners out there…you know who you are”. I can not stand that.
