But the Rant hates “one of us” coaches.

glad he found that out years later.

Definitely not a thing you'd hope he'd know when taking the job.

That wasn’t it all…he just hired people without the talent level required. Kids don’t give a shite where the coach’s hometown is at all…can you coach? When they do exactly what the coach says and they get their arse kicked they start to wonder how good he is. That’s the end.

He’s pandered to the south enough…and stop doing the fricking L hand gesture. STOP.

He could’ve hired 100 Bill Walshes and Bill Belichick and wasn’t doing shite with that roster

Scott Woodward owns some blame for this too. As BK‘s boss and someone with enough history to know better, he should have forced the issue more.

I always laughed at people here on the rant that Shite on corey raymond and his lack of production at florida.

hes a legendary DB coach and you pair him with blake baker, im optimistic about our defense, especially with transfer portal & depth we have.

His initial defensive hires were awful. He set the program back a few years with that mistake and likely cost LSU a natty run with JD5

And if he did, it would be shite on as good ole boy hires.

Just hire good coaches. If they have a connection to LSU or the state, that’s just lagniappe. He didn’t hire enough good coaches, that was the problem.

It's in the past, he's rectified it and got all the resources and talent you can ask for on his roster and staff this year. Seriously compete for the big one this year or GTFO.

I believe Ed did a pretty good job of that beforehand. Ironically the defense is what held the 22 team in contention while JD was finding himself.

I will always wonder what would have happened with 23 if brooks and zy Alexander stayed healthy.

He had a rough couple years recruiting, our DBs didn't look great, but he was always angling for more money.

He's a really good coach, but I think a year or two apart was good for both parties.
