I'm thinking Arkansas wins by 3-4 runs. Anderson is a good pitcher but I just haven't seen elite stuff from him. Meanwhile Root was absolutely elite in his last start and has seemed to get better each week. Arkansas has better hitters 1-9 that can manufacture runs better than LSU and IMO has better guys coming out of the pen.

Recently, the Hogs have been patient at the plate and running up the pitch count. Arkansas pitchers have consistently pounded the strike zone. Those 2 things will be worth 2-3 runs I'm thinking. That's the amount we win by.

Hopefully the game won't start at midnight ...that is the biggest advantage LSU has

While it's fun to laugh at this, lets not act like we don't have posters doing the exact same thing here.

Message boards breed stupidity and that's what makes them fun.

I don't care what 90% of the people on this board say much less people on another teams message board.

Hogville is such a great name for their board because it doubly references their mascot and their average BMI.

It's like fans saying we shut Mahomes down in the Texas Bowl when in reality he threw for 370 and 4 tds.

Im a diehard LSU fan. Game could go many different ways and I would not be shocked...LSU blows out Arky, Arky blows out LSU, LSU wins close game or Arky wins a close game....the last 2 would be the most likely to me. Saying Anderson isn't elite shows what this guy knows.

I'm not gonna lie, when it comes to baseball he's absolutely correct that a pitcher is only as good as his last start

Not shocking both fanbases hold some confidence seeing as this matchup is pretty overwhelmingly likely to be the one that produces the eventual champion of the whole tourney. Should be a dogfight of a game.

Like I said, message boards drive people to make stupidly sweeping generalizations like this.

I'm thinking the Hogs are in the bottom of the ninth, leading by a run, with two outs, and LSU hits a fly ball over the first-base foul line. Three Razorbacks are there to field it. Easy out...and...and...and...the balls lands at their feet. LSU goes on to win.

I don't think Zach Root is going to be as effective against us. He's going to be told to tone down his bullshite because Arkansas and the NCAA won't want that on the Omaha stage and it's going to frick with him.

You can discuss the offense, bullpen, coaching, outcome, etc. Anderson vs. Root is no discussion.

Anderson is too quiet. Subtlety is lost on morons. He needs something more performative like the fake tough guy they have.

Well we have, and he pitched in a game where we already beat them.

Root is a good pitcher. Anderson did give up quite a few runs to West Virginia so that’s probably why they said that. I’ve watched both pitchers too, and I’m not sure how you come to the conclusion that root is elite and Anderson is not.

I almost feel bad for Arkansas fans that they have their best chance to win it all in years, and they get matched up with LSU in Game 1. Their mentals have to be all over the place at the moment.

The MLB draft may pick him #1 overall.
