So the State's National Guardsmen are going to try & stop ICE agents? If there is any kind of "fight", my bet is on the ICE agents. Plus, a lot of Guardsmen are pro ICE & may refuse to cooperate. It happened in Miss.

The Guard is subject to active duty military courts, right? I doubt the Guard’s commanders are down with 20 plus years at Leavenworth. Plus, Newsom isn’t that stupid.

IIRC it did not turn out very well for them when the southern states tried to use their state militias to oppose the federal government. Hundreds of thousand dead. Cities burned. Generation wealth gone. A century's worth of poverty and irrelevance resulted.
