My question is, why is it the job of American taxpayers to take care of children in Uganda?

ABC News and their employees should take up the cause and fund this.

It isn't and truth be known less than 1/3 of any funding sent by the US was making it to the "intended" targets...

I am being generous with 1/3...

We have homeless veterans who served this country all over the place, and our lovely MSM uses this as a Trump gotcha. God forbid these countries take care of their own or, better yet, use a little bit of sexual discretion.

Sad story.

Not our government's problem.

Although any group that wants to promote and collect for this cause has my blessing.

For charity to be charitable, it must be voluntary- not ripped from unconsenting American wallets.

Did Crocs get the USAID no bid contract to supply footwear to the entire third world?

Actually, it's probably a shitload. HIV and Aids is a pandemic there and kids are fricking born with it or easily catch it from their parents in the years after being born.

That one kid's dad was obviously a USAID worker or other NGO "specialist".

This is what we were paying for.

Obviously most of the money we sent was stolen along the way, there is no way half a billion goes through with so little to show for.

It's 43% children under 15.

It's rampant make babies and abandon them.

Here is me, not giving a watery shite.

Sad story, but not the responsibility of US taxpayers.

They want to dust off Sally Struthers to beg for private donations, they can have at it, but I am pretty fricking sure this is NOWHERE in the Constitution.

It's fascinating how many people in our Elite seem to think that it's the job of Joe six pack to be responsible for every ailment worldwide

I laughed when I read this headline. I just saw Book of Mormon last week. This topic is covered throughout the production.

Yet, THEY won’t take responsibility to take the steps necessary to eradicate it. All this third world nonsense gets tossed into America’s lap.

"according to local workers"

who from ABC has contact with "local workers" in Uganda?

Did the reporter seek out the story, or was it vice versa?

Was there any effort made to verify the claims?

How much money has historically been given? To who? For what services? When was the 1st anticipated payment not delivered?

So many reasonable questions.

Journalism today. . .
