No. But I still wouldn't mind having one but I make too many long trips.

I’d never buy an electric vehicle to begin with. Just not my thing and I use my truck too often to not have one.

We bought two because of the deals they were having at the end of Q1 25. Two leases for $650, 3,000 mi/month.

The purpose the car fills is perfect. The car itself leaves a lot to be desired. The finish is below par for a 35-40k car. Buttons on the wheel don't respond well, the autosteer is very strong, the auto braking is kind of annoying, the tint had to be overlapped because the glass is so wide, and some of the phone connectivity is dumb. The lack of appleplay is annoying. The car senses when you are on the phone while moving and will "strike" you when doing so but you can't control the music from the dash only from the phone.

Hard to beat the operational cost though. As of yesterday, I am averaging $25 a week in "gas" equivalent whereas my truck is $90. Compounded savings is about $3k a year in "fuel" savings.

No, but I would love a model S to run around town in. I’d keep my pickup for hauling boat and/or longer trips.

No, but I bought Tesla stock when it dropped. Bought some more yesterday when it dropped again.

Love a bargain buy in the market.

By the same token, did you sell your beloved Tesla because of Trump?

Nope. Purchased one of these due to gas prices:

No, but I thought about it because it's a cool car and also because I like Elon. I still like Elon. He's frickin' nuts, though.

Did you buy (a particular model car) because of (who the president is)?

Could you ever expect anyone with the mental capacity to actually operate a vehicle on public roads to answer that question in the affirmative?

I wouldn't buy anything because of Trump.
I buy things with my money based only on my needs and wants.
I want to get an EV to use around town, but they are too expensive for what they are, IMHO.

I don't own an electric vehicle because the charging process is too time consuming!
