Apparently West Virginia Likes to Get "Really Chippy"

On the West Virginia 247 site, there's a story about a their players getting "chippy with Clemson's All-ACC starting pitcher. It seems to have worked, because he gave up three runs in the first inning.
The umpire went to the West Virginia dugout and told the coach to tone it down. The coach said he "barked" at the umpire and told him to concentrate on the Clemson crowd, not the 20 guys in the West Virginia dugout, and the exchange got pretty heated.
The coach (named Sabins) is all for his players yapping at the other team (and the coach getting heated at the umpire) in an effort to win.
Vitello Jr coming to The Box this weekend?

Easy to bark until there’s a Bear at the end of the road.

That's a blatantly retarded thing for a coach to tell the umpire, if that even happened at all.

WVU also hasn't traveled to the Box. Put it on them quick and their won't be chippiness.

Was WVU chippy, or was Clemson baby back bitches? Because we have a mountain of evidence of the latter
Our fans are already pissed off after how Regionals ended. Nothing would fire up the Box more than a relative nobody coming in trying to start shite. Would be unwise

I'll take our team of Louisianamals and 12,000 plus bayou brawlers in the stands over a dugout full of toothless hilbilys! Bring it on and find out what happens in the box after dark!

It's swag when you win. It's douchey when you don't.

Very few times have I seen Anderson or Eyanson too worried about the crowd/other team. The only one that sticks out to me is Eyanson in college station. I feel like we have the two starters to shut that shite down real quick.

Ok. Please bark. I’ve seen Anderson, Evans, and Eyanson perform their absolute best with a little emotion

WVU’s HC is a little bitch that’s about to be humbled.

If so, they are in the wrong place to try that BS, all that does is spell defeat for them because it just fires up Cajun Country. Fm! I can say that, I was born in Gretna and my whole family went to LSU and my grandmother was Mardi Gras Queen and owned a hotel and flower shop on Airline Hwy. back in the day. GTH WV!

College baseball as a whole is full of douchebaggery. The absurd celebrations for any and everything. The pitchers barking at batters after a SO. Batters shouting at the pitchers/fielders after a big hit...and on and on. It's one thing to be fired up after a 2 out game tying hit in the bottom of the 9th of a big game...or to slow walk a walk of HR (like what Curiel and Jones did in Game 1 vs. Tenn). It's another to talk shite to a pitcher after a solo HR in the top of the 2nd in a 1-1 game. Or to chirp at a batter after a SO for out 2 in the 3rd inning of a game.
That doesn't happen at higher levels (minor league and major league) nearly as often. The reason is the players are, essentially, given leeway to police themselves. Do something obnoxious and you know you or your teammate may soon see a fastball in the ribs, or you face a bench clearing "brawl".
