At least they warn you! Golden Meadow doesn’t and will hammer you! It’s also so small anyone they don’t recognize is getting pulled over!

I pass through Rosepine on my way to Hackberry. I've always liked the feeling of that town.

LOL the speed trap sign is from a coonass that got lit-up there. (edit for the literal folk. Robert Kite not a coon arse, a business man with so much pull he couldn't get a ticket fixed in Rosepine, LA. so to show his coon arse side he flexed his significance & put a sign up warning everyone of the speed trap town of Rosepine) A friend of mine is one of Rosepine's finest. When you see the speed trap sign heading south slow down and turn right into Soileau's Cajun Specialty Meats. This place is a go to when I'm home in Vernon Parish. For those that didn't know Eddie Fuller went to school in Rosepine before transferring to Leesville High School home of the Wampus Cats.

That’s not exactly correct. Sign is paid for by an old man who recently died and owns the property, along with what seems like half the property around DeRidder and Rosepine. Proudly displays his name on it. But it is correct, and if you haven’t slowed down by the time you see the sign, you may be too late

It's between DeRidder and Leesville on HWY 171, although a bit closer to DeRidder. Lot of military folks (active and retired) from Fort Polk live in that area. That's how Kevin Mawae ended up in Leesville. I know Frey's dad was or is in the military. That may be how Frey ended up there as well.

That's because it is between Lessville and DeRidder so Rosepine gets overlooked. Much like Pickering and New Llano

I played on those first Rosepine teams with Eddie when they were just starting football my freshman and sophomore years. We moved back to the Florida Parishes in the middle of my sophomore year. Eddie and Vincent are great guys.
