Fine the companies who employed them

What you're asking for is more commonsense and less sensationalism. Not going to happen.

25 years ago, there used to be a fair amount of black carpenters, concrete guys, etc. Nothing made white left wingers more excited than seeing all of those jobs go away and be taken by illegals from Honduras.

It costs a bajillion dollars to deport illegals. They are exactly the type of people who are willing to uproot their lives in order to seek out a better one. Make them unhireable here and they'll uproot again. It's not that hard.

Do you think that being on a job site doesn’t mean they aren’t receiving any federal or state benefits illegally or have any kind of criminal or gang background?

It’s possible they were part of Biden’s temporary protected status granted for 350,000 Venezuelans that Trump with approval of the Supremes just revoked after Biden’s autopen tried to renew their status for several more years just before Trump’s inauguration.

Regardless I support removing anyone just for being here illegally.

You are implying that it has to be one or the other which is BS. Deport them and fine the companies that hired them.

I don't want to hand pick berries in the 100° heat. I keep seeing ads hiring for that at $12/hr. I would bet that's 95% illegal aliens who do that work.

Possibly, but if I9 documentation is done per the book and the employee passes e-verify, then there isn't much you can do to the employers.

I'm implying that it is a waste of money. Now if fines covered the cost of deportations, by all means, double dip.

In truth, I dont think fines are enough to dissuade business. The penalties should be harsher. It's an extreme cruelty to bait people seeking to better their lives with a promise of stability.

It would be easy to make a system where you don’t need illegals to pick blueberries

Yeah, it was the left wingers that forced them to hire all illegals, not the companies wanting to save money by paying illegals under minimum wage.

Of all the sheep you might be the most gullible.

I cannot stand this lazy fricking argument.

1. if it's too expensive to get people, it will be automated. Pretty much every agricultural product has automation available.

2. who picked it before Mexicans? What are those people doing now? Go visit any tiny ag town like where I am from, and it will be pretty damn obvious what they are and are not doing.
