Black guy visited Nashville for 1st time and my thoughts

Granted I'm conservative and enjoy all music but I had an overall good experience. I've heard people call Nashville the White Atlanta or White Houston and it is exactly that ... a lot of White people partying. Of course some racism paranoid Black associates tried to warn me about racism but I didn't experience any of that. Not counting security, I was often the only Black person in the bar and no one bothered me with any racism. I felt more comfortable there than an all-Black ghetto bar in the hood where violence happen all the time.
Nashville has some of the most beautiful well dressed women. Not sure if they were visiting or lived there but I seen so many gorgeous women. I enjoyed Broadway most before it got too dark and crowded. Ladies you definitely got to be careful b/c I did run into some bourbon soaked Appalachia mountain bred super horny honky tonk guys that look like the types to drop stuff in drinks which I was told is common on Broadway. But guys gotta be careful too b/c these seedy women do the same not for easy sex but to rob you. I don't have a favorite Broadway bar b/c they all pretty much gave the same vibe but all the bands were decent to great. The food was surprisingly good. Gumbo Bros (LSU alum owned) downtown and 312 Pizza Company in Germantown were my favorites.
What I didn't like were the hills. I didn't realize Nashville was so hilly so it wasn't always an easy walk to get around. Also even though I had a decent experience, Broadway almost gave me Greek row top house vibes. It seems like the people having the most fun and were the least sober were all privileged hot confident people ... I almost felt sorry for all the fat and unattractive insecure people watching everyone else enjoy themselves and get attention.
Overall I would move to Nashville if I could afford it (out my income bracket). Also I toured Vanderbilt for the first time which is where my hotel was and it was a beautiful campus. The campus area didn't seem overrun with angry blue-haired liberals which was a plus. Nashville got some really cool neighborhoods (Germantown was my fave). Nashville is a beautiful city with a lot to offer ... especially great live music ... even my hotel lobby had great live music every night.

Nashville is basically Austin part 2. Just give it time.

Most white people go out of their way to make black folks feel comfortable. Glad you had a good time.

Of course they did

Sounds like you had a good time and yes Nashville is a great town to step out and live alittle. Glad you are conservative and can see through the bs in this country.

Nashville has a huge amount of bums per capita. That trash is on every corner.

Nashville. Apparently.

I’ve lived in Nashville for 25 years.
It has changed a ton will all of the yankee carpetbaggers and blue state refugees, and I absolutely detest pop country music…but I’ve never seen one instance of white-on-black racism or crime. The same can’t be said for the opposite.

Did you get Beonce and Shaboozy autographs?

Nashville is actually a very nice city. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit.
Broadway in the late mornings / early afternoons is the best time to see some great entertainment.

Wife and I like to day drink before the night crowd gets kicking up. Sometimes we’ll party with the crazies at night, but we’re in our 40’s now and it’s hard to keep up

Underrated. I think because most people who say they’ve seen Vanderbilt also say they never got out of their car. Glad you enjoyed it.

You’re pretty obsessed with race bud. You should seek assistance from someone that might help you examine your issues.

The traffic in Nashville makes Baton Rouge's look like nothing.

You wouldn't want to live there if you rented a car and tried to drive around, three major interstates converge on down town and the traffic would drive you nuts, not to mention the road conditions are horrible.
