I never realized how jealous internationals are of the US until social media came about

Man, any post whatsoever that is about the US from a large account on say Instagram, Youtube, Reddit, whatever social media, the US gets so much hate from other counties. Meanwhile, they never, ever say anything bad about Somalia, Nicaragua, Niger, Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kazakhstan, etc. In my opinion, it is just like the Chiefs today, Yankees in late 90s, Patriots during Brady's run, 2016 Golden State Warriors. It's just like how in any post about the multi-hundreds of billionaires such as Zuckerberg, Musk, Bezos, everyone can't wait to tear them apart in the comment section. Never anything positive.
US ranks #1 in GDP, #1 in GDP per Capita of any country bigger than 10 million in population, #1 in top 100 universities globally (more top 100 than rest of world combined), #1 in olympic total medals, #1 in olympic gold medals, #1 in Nobel prizes (4x as many as 2nd place country), #1 in largest stock markets - NYSE & Nasdaq (market cap of 2x the rest of world's stock markets combined), #1 in largest innovative tech companies (by a far, far amount), #1 in box office earnings from movies created by country, #1 in TV series viewership created by country, #1 in music artists globally by earnings/viewership minutes, #1 in military spending (spend more than 2nd-10th highest defense spending countries combined). The US Dollar is the world currency reserve. International business is conducted in English because it is the US's main language.
US is responsible for the creation of the computer used at home, cell phones, internet, television, air conditioning, wi-fi, iphone, AI and semiconductor use in it, Google, automobile, plane, first color picture, first oil well drilled to create world's most efficient power source, pretty much 95% of the most important things that make life better than 1800. Responsible for eradicating or at least attempting to eradicate communism across the world.
Despite this, you'd think by the international comments on social media that the US ranked last in everything. A large amount of hate in this world stems from jealousy in my opinion. Not all, but a large share.

Canada and Australia both elected leftists recently because of Trump. That's how stupid non-Americans are. They make important decisions based on some guy in a completely different country.

The US doesn’t even have to mentioned. People (especially the Europeans) will automatically bring the US up
For example, if there’s a post dealing with quizzing people outside the US you’ll see “I guess they’re American” if they get something wrong or “They’re definitely not American” if the quizzed person is answering things correctly
The irony is these people will claim Americans are ignorant and think the world revolves around us BUT they are the ones constantly talking about the US and heavily generalizing 350M people

People travel through 2+ countries to be here illegally.
Some people build makeshift boats to float across shark infested waters to be here.
At one point we took in more refugees than the next 7 countries combined.
We have our warts and flaws but most people would give their left nut to have been born here or allowed to move here legally. They can feel superior across the ocean until a certain group helps reality set in.

I saw this one guy that brought up a good point. There’s so many non-Americans who grew up consuming large amounts of American content to the point where they think they truly understand the US and are qualified to make accurate judgments about the US

Also, most people don't realize it, but since 1945 the United States has given the world the longest stretch of relative peace and prosperity that the world has ever known. Prior to WWII, Europe in particular was in a virtually constant state of war. Bretton Woods ended that, allowing Europe to not only rebuild itself from the war, but to eventually form the E.U. and to bind their economies with a common currency. It's not the Europe necessarily wanted to play nice with each other. We DEMANDED it and provided for their security. Without our security guarantees and the opening of our market, Europe couldn't have rebuilt the way it did and China would likely still be a backwards agrarian shithole. Bunch of ungrateful fricks.
